.................stop my cb's from playing loose coverage when I play blitz man defenses. This is annoying me to no end. Everytime I call a blitz my opponent knows because my cb's play loose coverage. They simply hot route to a curl or out route and its an instant 10-12 yds. You don't see cb's playing loose coverage on blitz plays all the time in the real NFL. I'm sure it happens, but not ALL the time. In fact, if you think about it, it makes more sense for the cb to be closer to the receiver because he should be expecting a quick pass. Anyway, is there something I can do to have my cb's line up closer to the receiver on these plays? I know I could press them, but I don't really wanna play press D. That's risky and my guys could get beat easily. I just want them to line up like normal or something similar. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try hot routing each one to man and see if he plays more up front, idk. It'd have to be fast

Show blitz? Doesn't that just bring a safety into the box. Either way I don't wanna do that either. The whole purpose of this is to hide when I'm blitzing. I'm pretty sure showing blitz doesn't do that lol. Thanks for the suggestion tho.

You can have them press, but that leaves you open to deep passes if the WR wins at the release.

What I usually do is shade my coverage to the quick slant side (wr on left, they slant right, so I would shade right) and bring them about 4 yards from the receiver. I also usually have my best press corner on press, it helps out.

I don't really like to man blitz this game, I prefer the zone, its something that was bad last year, but works out nicely this year, I can force a quick pass to the middle of the field, thinking the LBs are blitzing, but have a DE drop into coverage to get a pick.

What the above said. Use the individual coverage options using Y for 360. Then A and select the corresponding corner and assign him to bump or shade.

If you shade will that move him down or will it just cover the curl better?
