Does the ps4 touch pad do anything?

Brand new to this forum so sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but recently I started having trouble where the defensive players I control would semi-regularly just "fall down" as if I had hit square for a dive. Then, my QB would sometimes (but more rarely) randomly pass to the square WR without me pressing that button.

I figured I needed a new controller so I bought one and opened it up last night. The QB issue doesn't happen, but my defenders still fall down, maybe even more often AND, on offense, it tries to fake snap over and over again, often resulting in a false start.

Is the new controller faulty too? Seems unlikely. Is this a madden glitch? Maybe just my copy? Does anyone have any ideas?

Is there a way to make a HB a QB? Because I traded a draft pick for Denard Robinson only to find out the game only lets me make him a WR or FB even in the offseason.

No, and I don't think you can make anyone a QB unless you create a player.
