Does anyone have a definitive explanation of "Spawned" games?

Does anyone have a definitive explanation of "Spawned" games and how the work? When you spawn a franchise game with another person playing in the same franchise, what happens when your two teams play against one another/ do you play it out online? That part is confusing to me.

Link to a site that has it would be helpful....

    Thanks,

    Peace.

"The EA Locker allows users to share a variety of files ranging from rosters to franchises. The onus is on the users to coordinate the shared franchise. One user would have to start the franchise offline. Once online he can upload the franchise file to his EA locker. He then has to make the file public (simply by selecting the file and choosing "make public" from the locker action popup). Once the file is available any user can download the file to their memory card/hard disk and then pick up where their buddy left off. The updated franchise file would then have to be uploaded again and the process repeated.

In the instance that two user controlled teams are set to play each other in the franchise, that game can be spawned and played online. Within the franchise there is an option to spawn the game and save it to the mem card/hard disk. This spawn game file then has to be uploaded to the EA Locker and then made public. Once the other user downloads the Spawn Game option from the online Game Modes menu. As long as the two users have the same file saved to their mem card/hard disk they will be matched up in the same way Quick Match connects two users. Once the online game is completed one user must save the spawn results. After the franchise is loaded offline the user will have the option to merge the spawn results back into the franchise. "

Yeah. EA forgot to mention though that injuries that occur during a spawned game does not carry over to the franchise file. So basically you can go a whole season without any injuries at all...

Ah that blows! It would have been a cool option to have turned on or off.

but wouldn't that only be the case for Human vs Human games...wouldn't injuries possibly happen when playing the CPU during yoru franchise?

i am also assuming that Trades and free agent signing are also carried over on the franchise files..simply each person would have to make trades and re-send the file back.

I am really liking this feature...

every spawned game results in no injuries being carried over.

The other thing you're talking about is sharing the franchise file itself in the EA locker feature.

What I don't get about this feature is essentially that it lets anyone with access to the file edit it as they please (ie. the Vikings owner could get the file trade Tomlinson to himself for a 7th round pick and reupload the file) That's just stupid. Why haven't they created a simple feature that let people have restricted access to certain parts of the franchise files given by passwords (Like the online franchise mode from Madden 2001 and 2002 on PC)?

              keep it simple stupid.

EA tries to do all sorts of stuff but never figures out how to complete their plans....
