I know this was possible last year to actually change a player's position (not just on the depth chart, actually change their position.) Is this possible this year, or did they take it out or something?

Still possible, just can't do it if it puts you below the minimum players required at the position. -

For the life of me, I can't find the option. Where exactly is it, and is it limited to a particular time of the season?Comment

Re: Changing player position
First you have to go to view rosters, then edit the player you want to switch and you will be able to switch their position if their are enough players left on your team that play the same position. Hope that makes sense.Originally posted by MidnightPyroFor the life of me, I can't find the option. Where exactly is it, and is it limited to a particular time of the season?Comment

Re: Changing player position
Well it worked for me atleast, I changed Andre Carter to OLB from DE after changing him to DE when I was thinking about running the 4-3 with the Niners and then upon changing my mind I switched him back and it worked fine. Are you sure you have more then the minimum at DE already on your roster? If you only have the minimum, the game wont let you change it since it will put you below the minimum needed for that position.Originally posted by liftheavyi know you can't change a de to a olbComment

I think you can only change a DE to OLB if OLB was their previous position before you changed them to a DE.Originally posted by Pimping219Well it worked for me atleast, I changed Andre Carter to OLB from DE after changing him to DE when I was thinking about running the 4-3 with the Niners and then upon changing my mind I switched him back and it worked fine. I know this, you can only change certain positions to certain positions. For instance, you cannot change a FS to an OL. However, most these limitations to changes seem logical. I thought you could change a DE to a OLB though, I was pretty sure I did it too when I was just messing around.Comment

Last year you could change DE to OLB but not this year. This is a common change in the NFL so I don't know why EA didn't leave it in.Originally posted by SamanthaI know this, you can only change certain positions to certain positions. Re: Changing player position
That sucks about DE to OLB
I like messing with the rosters and playing an exhibition game for fun but really saving them for the rosters I use always.
I was thinking about putting Jason Taylor on the Titans for a game and switching him to OLB for fun.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Yeah you can change OLB to DE and that DE back to OLB but not DE to OLB... I don't understand EA's thinking sometimes.Originally posted by `D-MAC´©®I changed Dan Cody from OLB to DE...
