I WANNA GIBBERGABBER ABOUT MADDEN 360!!!!!!!!
"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves...but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him...because he can take it...because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector...the Dark Knight."

I'd love to talk about it. However, it appears EA doesn't want to do that just yet. They dont' want to detract attention from people buying the current gen one (and getting one last big year out of current gen) before they release enough to make some people think "Heck, I'll wait for that one."
Its textbook marketing.
However, I wonder as the heat and fervor around the problems with Madden 2006 continue to fester, perhaps EA will start dropping some Madden 2006 360 info in the coming weeks to help deflect a bit. I hope so.
We really don't have much to go on right now- the current screens as captured from the NFL network show something completely different from that Next Gen commercial from the draft. (EA said as much though... I like the new pictures better, and they said we probably would.)
The big questionmarks are what features will carry over?
Will the cone be there? Superstar? All the pre-snap stuff on offense and defense (minus "the problem"...), what about online franchises?, etc?
We don't have much to go on. But that should change within the next couple months. You KNOW they'll pimp the 360 game out during the real NFL season during games.
I have a feeling it will be good. Two mega-companies have a vested interest in this game being awesome. (Microsoft and EA both.)
It had better be, but I always worry about the first release with new development kits of any new next gen system.
I havent been able to find anything other than the pre-rendered stuff.
Thanks for any info!

As a note the early word from developers is that they love working on the 360 and aren't so in love with programming for the PS3 -- I think that was actually posted on these boards somewhere
Have fun..............
Basketball made me the man I am today; Arthritic and Bitter...
What I think I think:
• Y'know, I've never played less NBA 2K than I did with NBA 2K12
• Sports VG titles were REALLY disappointing in 2011-12
• Thank Heaven for ME3 and Arkham City -- saved my winter

Could you go into furthur detail with "programming for the PS3"?
"Next Gen NFL Spot" is the one you want, this is a brief clip from a show on the NFL Network about Madden 06.
Thanks!!

[QUOTE=ballaholics]My attention is fully focused on the 360 as well. I traded away by Xbox and all my games towards a 360 pre-order after i found out about the glitch.
I hope we get some more in-depth talk about Madden on 360, and more importantly, i hope for no glitches.[/QUOT
I think it will be just like when the Playstion 2 came out. Just think back how much the graphics improved from the old playstation. It will still have it problems, but they will still be better than playstation 2. In terms of graphics and gameplay.
Let's hope EA comes out with an official statement guaranteeing consumers that the RB glitch won't exist in the 360 version.
I'm baffled by the grotesque lack of content and information on a game that is only 2 or 3 months away. What is going on?! Is this a by product of no competition. There is no upside to giving out screenshots and information to be criticized unless you are trying to beat out the competition.

Well it's not as if 2K sports or EA has shown anything regarding their NBA games for the 360, so I'm not sure if it's an issue of competition, but companies probably don't want to put a damper on the sales potential of their current gen games.
But I'm baffled as well, because I expect more 360 coverage by EA and 2K than we're getting at this point in time

EA is still trying to sell Madden for this gen. Putting out a bunch of screens and vids would only serve to make the current version look like a ps1 game by comparison.
My whole take on the LACK of info for Madden 360 as well as just about every other game coming out at launch or close to is they don't want to give TOO MUCH info away. One, as mentioned above is that they are in the business of making money, so they need to make money off the current systems. Second is the fact that if they give lots of info, screens and vids is that MAYBE when the title finally does release that the buyer may be like AHHH. Meaning they have seen it all already. The initial SHOCK of the game and graphics will not be there b/c they have already leaked everything. It sucks for us, the gamers, but it makes sense for them and really it kind of makes sense for us too in that we WILL be that much more impressed (hopefully) with next-gen games! Just my .02 guys, but think about it!
I urge caution and it would be wise to lower your expectations a bit for Madden 360 because I see no new info that would suggest that it is much different than the PS2 and XBOX versions. High expectations mean disappointment if the game is not that great. I remember Madden 2001 for the PS2 that was hyped out of this world and it was a very disappointing game. We could be in for a repeat.
