I really don't know the anwser to either of those, but why would that be the breaking point of buying it? don't you plan on playing it?

Because it is a feature that he likes..like any other feature in a game. I too am waiting to see if this feature is in the game.

From the early reports that Steve_OS did he said that cpu v cpu was back in the game. I doubt whether the tv camera angle will be though. Cpu v cpu is how I like to enjoy the game as well.

Here's the link from Steve's preview..scroll down to the quick hits - cpu v cpu is at the top.

Edit - from the gameplay vids that I've seen it looks like the game will allow you to select any game from any side's schedule and watch it as cpu v cpu. Can Ian or Phil confirm this please?

serious question. Why do so many people care about CPU vs CPU. This seems like an incredibly boring waste of time to me. Can someone please explain the appeal? Not being an ***, i just need to know.

Yeah me to, i remember i did it once when the colts where playing the bears in the Superbowl, to see if madden could really predict who would win other then that never really did it again, wouldn't you be better off getting head coach?

They probably like to play the game also. They would have to spend 90 bucks to control the game or set up a comp vs comp, features found on previous maddens that they obviously enjoyed. The multiple camera angles people want are already in Head Coach in it's first next gen installment, which uses the same engine in madden, why aren't those extra camera's in 4th generation madden?

                    Thanks for the response guys..

I just find it incredibly rewarding to beat the computer at its own game. Its one thing to defeat the computer by manipulating the scoreboard on the field by controlling players. Its another to develop a franchise and see it suceed without the aid of my devine godly hands.

I found a well written quote on here not too long ago that sums up my distain for this generation of Madden and NCAA football..

"IMO, after 2004 there was a systematic shift of philosophy from EA as it relates to NCAA and Madden. I remember writing on these boards about how the sports games from EA were moving away from a televised aspect to a more in your face, on the field model. The love for most sport, for the overwhelming majority of us, comes from TV. IMO, if you are going to make a sports game, the game must be made from this point of view. 2K has always understood this. This is why their games have great presentation value. The camera angles in CH2K8 and NBA2K8 are plentiful, all giving a chance to find the right broadcast angle that suits us.

When Madden 2K6 hit next gen, EA boasted about how every seat in a stadium was in its correct place. A natural extension of that would be to allow a gamer to watch a game from that perspective. But that was not the case. One had to pause the game and move the controller all around, then zoom in to find that seat. No how useless is that?

My passion for College Football comes directly from television. NCAA 2003 was a nice starting point for my broadcast football fix. Some of us like to spectate cpu games. There are more of us out there than many may believe. Maybe one day, tv broadcast style football presentation will make its way back to us. We just gotta keep working on EA. I'm sure we'll finally get there."

It's funny you say that considering this entire site is dedicated to people breaking down why they like or don't like something.

                      I'm just saying.

I asked nicely. I think it's time to change your tampon before you start bitching about about something else in this thread. I asked why because i didn't know. I clearly wasn't being an ***, like you.

Phatz - it's each to their own really. I'm not into playing the game/button mashing and it's how I like to enjoy the game. I prefer to have the cpu play out the results using the ratings and without human influence. Like I say it's each to their own and us cpu v cpu'ers have always had a place in EA games (apart from the last couple of iterations, but now we're back).

                            Hope that helps a little.
