Can icons and weapons be turned off

I assume the weapons can be turned off like last year. Does anyone know if we can also turn off those instructional icons appearing under the players during gameplay, for example under your rb while running it might say rt-sprint. I dont want that stuff displayed, can it be turned off.

I hope so as well, should seem like they could be.

I know when to use the right juke, stiff arm , etc....don't need to be told.

From reading online and in gameinformer:

If you set the game too "Hardcore" you won't see the weapons, etc.

But that also turns off replays and stat overlays... Hopefully, there is a way to mix and match.

i want to be able to see the weapons, but not the silly little hints that say 'sprint'..it's really patronising

the icon's that say sprint are only in rookie and pro.

Weapons are on by default in rookie and pro.

They are off in hardcore mode.


However, weapons can be manually turned off or on for any difficulty setting

how do you turn them off for online play?

Yeah, I would like it if the weapon icons didn't appear online if you had them turned off.

To turn off the hint icons beneath the players, My Madden>Settings>My Skill and its on the very bottom of the list.

Now, People confuse themselves. You can turn off Weapons icons. Turning them off doesn't disable them, it only removes the icons from beneath the players.

Yeah but unless BOTH players have them turned off in online game, the weapon icons still appear on the field.

That's what stinks.

Patch it Madden people lurking these forums.
