    EA Please fix Sim Completion%

I dont know why this has not been being dicussed on forums but has anyone noticed the QB completion% when you sim? Its ridiclous. I thought EA would have addressed this issue in the patch but no. I simmed the first season to check and 6 QB threw for 70%. No QB was under 60% not even Tavaris Jackson and everyone was either in the high 60s or middle. Rex Grossman threw for 67%.

It overates QBs by to much. I'm a franchise person that loves stats and I'm sure this ruins it for alot of people. Last year it was the int glitch now this. They got the sim stats right on last generation systems but cant get it right on advanced technology. This is the only NFL football game so you can at least get the stats right. Mess up pancake blocks or something not a important stat like completion%. Correct me if Im wrong but didnt EA say this is a new sim engine and you will get the most realistic stats ever? Well EA there are problems with your most realistic stats ever.

EA if you see this please address this issue. If anyone can get in contact with them they should let them no. By the way my rookie QB threw for 71%.

One more thing I submitted this in the complaints thread before the patch and I dont understand why this was not one of the fixes or even addressed.

Well, it has been discussed quite a bit around here. I agree, it does take away from the franchise a bit. As far as it being fixed in the patch, it may come down to how easy/hard it was to tune something like that. I would think stat tracking/sim engine stuff would take more work to fix than much of what was addressed in the patch because of all that's involved. I'm no programmer though, so who knows.

Another thing whats up with the receiving yards. Most WR are barely over 1000 yards. I would think that the top WRs could get quite a few yards but hey according to EA these are the most realistic stats ever in a madden game.

I imagine the two go hand in hand. The QB's are likely throwing shorter passes and completing a high percentage for fewer yards. If the QB's threw deep more often, both issues should be at least partly addressed.

Why should the sim percentages be any different than the percentages we see from the QB when we actually play the CPU?

Had to laugh at a patch impression post today - some guy said "I think robo-QB is finally gone! Tavarus Jackson went 20-30." 66.7% from a bum like that and robo-QB is gone. Again

I agree. The catches are about right but the yards are often low along with a low YPC overall. I would say these numbers, along with tackles are really the only glaring problems with the simmed stats in 09. Overall they did a pretty good job.

Um, no I didn't. Misquote much?

To be honest, I was referring to the 4 sacks when I mentioned Robo. It means the CPU wouldn't automatically dump the ball off to a reciever when they felt pressure. That's why it was so hard to get sacks. My first game showed a big difference in that. Will it keep up through more games? Who knows.
