Interceptions; Throwing at least 1 int per game

Whether playing single games/franchise against cpu; no matter what I do it seams that I cannot play a single game without throwing at least one pick! Normal sliders, custom sliders etc… it doesn’t matter. I am not trying to say that this should not be common occurrence to throw no picks every game, I just want a few games where I am reading the D reasonable well and want 0 picks. It won’t happen. I am not the type of player that dumps it off to the flats to my rb’s all the time.

You can have the ints at 5-10 and you will be guaranteed the cpu will pick it off at least once…

i've gone more than a few games without throwing ints. what teams are you using?

First franchise mode that I played (before farve/vick update) I did the same thing you did as Philip Rivers, got an Int in every single game that I played. I restarted my franchise after the roster update and I started reading the defence better, also not rushing my throw so now I barely throw any picks (I'm on billharris' realism slider).

Don't have this problem. Just finished my first season and Russell ended up with 19 TD and 12 INTs for me. I use custom sliders between all pro and all madden.

I have similar issues. I don't like to dump the ball off too much because of the coverage issues with the flats, but the cpu blitzes me so much that I can't get much of a downfield passing attack going, so its either check down to a rb or force a throw into coverage

who cares? that's only 16 picks a season, minimum. not like real life qbs don't throw that many.

"waah, i can't stop throwing picks. how can i adjust the game to make it easier?" go play in a real game and see if you can throw zero picks in a single game. then we'll talk about how the game is flawed.

same here... and no matter if i go for a lob pass or a bullett pass, they all seem to be bullet passes and like 5 yrds in front of the wr and usually get picked off

Ive been throwing a lot of interceptions.. In madden 09, I averaged around 15. Getting under 10 ints was somewhat of a challenge. On the other side of the ball for Madden 10, Ive also been intercepting qbs like crazy. I play with the Jets and I got 14 ints with Revis, 10 with Lito Shepherd and ints here and there with linebackers and safeties. All these ints lead to having an aveage score of 38pts per game.. Im still trying to find the right adjustments.

Yeah I've been really frustrated by what I consider the CPU cheating and getting all the picks they can lay their hands on. I have games when I'll drop 2-3 INT's on defense then go on offense and throw a pretty good pass that will get picked off. It really bugs me but I guess it makes me a better Madden player? Or just forces me to take more sacks...

its also like the LBs can jump like 6 ft in the air to intercept the passes too

its simple make smart passes, drop back in the pocket read the D, check your progressions dont aim the ball but throw it and follow through and u should be fine, In chise i threw only 1 int the whole year.

What do your interceptions look like? Does it look like you made a bad decision or did some miracle defensive play just occur? If it looks like a bad decision on your part then its you not the game.

Yes, I agree. If I were to be thrown into a game in real life, I would easily throw 10+ ints without completing a pass and probably get ‘Joe Theismaned’ as well… however an elite qb - Manning, Brady should have a few games where they can have 3+ td’s and no picks.

Unless you are constantly throwing to the flats or chicken S*** dump passes and screens to score td’s You cannot have 2-4 td’s without throwing 0 picks in this version of madden.. I played countless games vs cpu no matter what level or slider setting, throwing down the middle, you will get picked off at least once… online is a different story, I can win or loose and throw no picks. It is only when playing the cpu.

I read the D, audible at the right time, still able to win by considerable margins in most of my games. I do always however throw at least one int though..
