    ESPN License and Score Line

Why does Madden not even utilize the ESPN License?
And why is there no score line (NCAA13 big presentation feature this year)

I find it absolutely ridiculous that the #1 sports game does not include a score line and does not even utilize the #1 sports network. The presentation in this game is average, at best. It doesn't seem to hard to incorporate both of these things.
"If it's in the game, it's not in our game" more like it.
    What are your opinions?

See links for the type of presentation that this game SHOULD already have.

They probably would never use ESPN since this is an NFL licensed game and the NFL has its own network. If you ever see a totally official network ticker and scoreboard and such replicated in game expect it to be the NFL network and not ESPN.

Well said, but I don't think there is reason not to have a score ticker on the screen at all times. MLB The Show, NCAA13 both have it and probably other sports games too. It's just a nice feature to have in my opinion. I know others could care less.

But Monday Night Football 'belongs' to ESPN since ESPN is owned by ABC -- just tossing that out there

Edit: My bad -- Monday Night Football IS ESPN's TV game. Maybe add the MNF crew to call that game?

i dont understand why they dont use it either. it's useless to have if your not going to use it in your game. but then again NCAA uses it so i guess if they got rid of it for Madden then they would have to do the same for NCAA as well.

lol at the astounded comments on the videos. It's truly sad madden doesn't have presentation anywhere near this good.

Every time someone post's a video of 2K5's halftime show I become sad and say "Why in the hell doesn't Madden have this in their game?".

Monday Night Football belongs to whomever the NFL decides it belongs to. They're a media empire.

Exactly. They know this stuff is crucial to an all around great NFL experience, but choose not to include it. Why? Because they are the only show it town.

EA bought out ESPN license just to throw a wrench at 2K, then Goodell took the boot to us by giving them exclusive rights, and it changed my video game "Fall season" for the bad.

EA can use espn in college football because the NCAA doesn't have its own network. Most reasonable thinking is NFL will not allow any official broadcast other than their own network. They could do a generic ticker however. It's not a conspiracy my friend ...sheesh.

If that was in Madden, chances are I'd be skipping it by right around week three or four.

No, it belongs to ESPN -- at least for another decade or so.

Hours before the N.F.L. season began Thursday, ESPN demonstrated what “Monday Night Football” means to the cable empire by renewing it for $15.2 billion through 2021

Because they outbid other networks for that right just like EA outbids the competition to make an NFL video game. In the end the NFL is always cashing in the checks.
