Will they patch coach mode (QB Auto-throw) into CCM at some point?

Sorry if this has been discussed ad nauseum, but this is really the only thing missing for me with this game presently.

I just can't figure out why they can put it in the Play Now function but not CCM. Makes zero sense. In fact, I kinda feel like it would make more sense having it only in CCM and not in Play Now.

So frustrating that it's missing. Any word on it being patched in? Doesn't seem like it would be hard.

Yeah it definitely makes more sense in franchise mode. I have no idea if they will patch this in but hopefully it gets in. I will say though that this year they have made the biggest leap I have ever seen them make and i've been playing madden since the 90's. So if this doesn't get patched in which I think it will, then give it some time. Cause in the next 2-3 years I think madden will be where we all had hoped it would be 5 years ago.

That's just it. The game is so good in all of the other areas I care about that this omission is glaring.

iirc they've pretty much confirmed that it won't be patched in.

keep coach mode on they do throw ball if you don't move them.

Only in Play Now.

Not in either of the CCM modes.

I liked a few things about CM in M12 but even if you had 100 QBA, the QB would always trow to the bleachers in red zone passes and especially goal line fades.

It has its issues, but I've always found it good enough.

Particularly compared to the decisions I make in the red zone when I'm forced to pass.

When? All I have seen is they are looking at everything people have mentioned and are taking it into consideration when they patch it......I have not seen one statement that said it for sure wont be patched in.

Could you back up that statement in any way ? I've been following pretty closely and have seen nothing put out on this subject. I may have missed it tho ?
I for one agree a true 'coach mode' with *auto-pass* should be patched into. CCM as a Commissioner option and as its in 'play now' already it shouldn't be too hard to do
After all you are nominally playing as the coach ! I find by controlling the QB too it makes any team I play with suffer / benefit too much from MY flaws/ skills.

There was a thread about it when Madden first came out. Was a link to a thread in the Madden support forum saying they had no plans to patch it in because something about it not working well with the new game engine.

Something like that, paraphrasing of course. Just read through the thread, never checked the link.

yeah, i can't actually find the thread (would take an age) but it was something along the lines of looman saying the engine isn't made for cpu vs cpu play e.t.c.

But it really makes no sense, the HB runs by himself until you move the sticks, same with defense; they have a defense assist button. Why can't their be auto-pass as well?

Well I guess that means CPU vs CPU will be nixed from the game since they are more than likely sticking with this engine.

I'm having a lot of fun playing the game but I normally play against my friends. I always used Franchise mode as sort of a GM mode.

EA, find a way to bring GM mode to Madden 14. Thanks in advance.

I really don't buy the whole can't make it work right with the engine. If that's true, why is it in play now mode.

It's the same code that the ai uses when it drops back to pass.
