A Deeper look into Simulation Stats (M25)

All of us with Season Ticket have seen a weird issue with sim stats. My goal is to lay it all out on the table and see if we can find a resolution so we don't have to wait months for a patch to come out.

Here's what I've seen so far on end of season Team Stats and compare to 2012 NFL:

    Total Offensive Yards
    • 2012 High Patriots 6846 | Madden 25 High Denver Broncos 6489
    • 2012 Low Cardinals 4209 | Madden 25 Low Bengals 4358

    Points Per Game
    • 2012 High Patriots 34.8 | Madden 25 High 49ers 29.6
    • 2012 Low Chiefs 13.2 | Madden 25 Low Dolphins 15.1

    Passing Touchdowns
    • 2012 High Saints 43 | Madden 25 High Patriots 30
    • 2012 Low Chiefs 8 | Madden 25 Low Texans 8

    Rushing Touchdowns
    • 2012 High Patriots 25 | Madden 25 High Panthers 20
    • 2012 Low Raiders/Chargers 4 | Madden 25 Low Cowboys/Bengals 5

    Team Sacks
    • 2012 High Broncos 52 | Madden 25 High Cowboys 58
    • 2012 Low Jaguars 20 | Madden 25 Low Jaguars 10

    Team Interceptions
    • 2012 High Bears 24 | Madden 25 High Patriots 28
    • 2012 Low Chiefs 7 | Madden 25 Low Jets 4

Overall it's not too bad. Maybe some of you can give some player stats from last year and what you're seeing this year. Sliders and Schemes are the key I believe....

Do sliders really have an impact on simmed games? I always assumed they did not but I noticed people who post slider sets mention simmed games and I couldn't figure out why. Seems like it would be easy to test, set everything offense to 0 and defense to 100 and see if the scores and yardage are noticeably lower

Unfortunately sliders don't work like that at the extremes. I recommend 0 and 100 are never used as they have unintended consequences.

Seeing as you play 16 teams throughout the season, your sliders to affect those teams while you're playing. I think Team Schemes will be the ultimate sim stat effecter.

What are you seeing for individual players stats. Like RB, WR, and QB.

The game is off at the moment, but I think overall RB yards were too inflated. QB yards weren't that bad as Peyton got 5100 but the next one was in the mid 4000s. WR yardage is too high with Welker.

Wow..those actually look excellent. If they would only do something about the incredible amount of interceptions.

Yeah I agree that these are actually much closer than most other "sim" type games. The biggest issue is INT, fix those and its pretty good.

As a whole the team INT numbers look ok, but they're screwed up when you check out player stats. A ton of QBs are completing only about %50 and throwing massive amounts of picks.

Oh ok, I did hear about that from other threads.

I had no issues with the INT thing, if fact my season looked really good, only a few players threw more INTs than TDs and good rated qbs were below 13 ints in a year.
The problem I have is with the progression again this year is bad with cpu not spending xp in good ways to get players better ovr.

If it's anything like last year, just set the option to use xp at the end of the year. This way, the CPU players compile points and have more to spend at the end of the season.
