nice work but alot of the FA's are retired washed up hacks. why does joel inglett have an alias? he played in a bunch of games last year

i agree on both counts, theres no reason why some of these guys have aliases, ive always wondered why 2k does it

i love the hard work you put in to the names, but i quickly glanced over the cubs and i know that augie ojeda, enrique wilson, david kelton, shane halter, rene reyes, jason simontachi and a bunch of other guys are not on the team and haven't been (even last year). i know ojeda and kelton played in other organizations this spring, and i'm pretty sure halter retired.

i'm not trying to flame you, its more on 2k for still having bad rosters even for their fake players

if somebody wouldn't mind posting the 4/4 update here with a datel transfer kit, i'd be happy to edit all of the players on the above list and repost to save somebody some work. all i need is the update and an hour or so.

Just a quick question, i was under the impression that all the fake named players had the same first and last initials as real players...

With that said i noticed some of the real players on some of the teams don't follow that pattern, any reason for that?

yeah, 2k has had players under fake names in their mlb games for years and didnt really start matching initials until the last couple years. some of the guys whose initials dont match have been in the game before and i found them on last year's list of fake players which is at the boards over at 2ksports.com (rocker i know is one example). Also, some just have the career stats of a real life player but the initials just dont match for some reason.

Thanks for the explanation. Was just curious about that. This is the first 2K baseball game that i've really gotten into. The previous versions were very lack luster in my opinion.

some guys arent members of the mlbpa, so there names willl never be on the game...

it seems like they mostly created guys with fake names for players like elijah dukes and josh hamilton who are on active rosters and also added in some top minor league prospects like Reid Brignac from the D-Rays, i also renamed everyone i had named from the 1st update which was annoying--enjoy and post if you find any additional names/corrections

Edit: Before you ask i dont have the transfer kit, this is intended for the unfortunate souls like myself who have to do it manually, when i did this for the first update someone did the changes and then posted their file for others to download so if anyone feels like doing that for this one its fine by me

Just wondering if you're going to post the name changes for the 4/11 Roster update.
