Invalid Lineup?

Okay, I'm trying to use jim416's awesome new rosters, but every time I try to play my first game I get a message saying myroster is invalid. it then asks to let the CPU fix it, but when I do it totally screws up my starting fielders...

Any suggestions? Do I let the CPU adjust the lineup, then just fix it myself or what?

Several different roster glitches have been reported. One solution I’ve found for the problem I had when I wanted to demote a player to the minors, was to demote him, then release him into the FA pool, and then stick him back on the team as a minor leaguer. If I simply demoted him, he still appeared in my starting lineup.

Again, after demoting him first (important, because you want him in the FA pool as a minor leaguer and not a major leaguer) and then releasing him and then resigning him, this particular problem was solved. Note: this was not in franchise. I’m still just editing my roster at this point.

I used to encounter this glitch every single time UNTIL I downloaded the XBOX live roster update. Since i did that, the problem hasnt happened once.

Okay, that fixed that issue... now a new one. I am trying to make a trade for LHP Shawn Estes and AAA pitcher Andy peterson for C.C. Sabathia... but after I make the trade it completely hoses up my lineups.

I have all the settings set for me to make roster, lineup, and minor league decision... but for the life of me I can't straighten this one out... Do I need to demote, then release, then resign Estes then trade him???

yeah, but I don't want to use their pathetic excuse for a roster... jim416's roster set is excellent, and I want to use it for my Franchise play.

I've heard there are specific problems with the trade engine, so that could be the issue. Reading what you do, I'd suggest try setting things to CPU re-order roster after the trade, if possible.

On a seperate note, I'm noticing that when I try to replace, say, a SP with a MR, the roster starts to get screwed up. I don't know if this is the cause, but regardless I've started replacing SP's with SP's only, and MR's with other relievers, etc. I don't know if any of this applies -- I'm just tossing out observations.
