Your favorite MLB2K Baseball Game?

Guys, what is everyone's favorite MLB2K baseball game released? I'm not marking console on here either since there are so many version, but just based off of the name alone.

I think I'm just going to have to go with 2K6. I would choose 2K5, but 2K5 didn't have momentum physics or inside edge. 2K6 may not be that great of a game, but in terms of enjoyment playing it... it sure as hell gets the hours out of my day.

2K4 by miles. I still play it.

The series was never the same for me once they changed the batting cursor.

I had the most fun with 2k3, but 2k4 was probally the better game. I always liked cursor hitting in baseball games, except for all-star baseball.

You forgot one. World Series Baseball (first one for xbox, no year at the end) came in between 2k2 for Dreamcast and 2k3. WSB is IMO the best of the bunch.

Did you really like MLB2K5 the best? Between both versions of MLB2K5, I would have to go with WSE.

I personally liked 2K3, then the follow-up ESPN MLB2K4 wasn't too bad, and gulp............3 components from MLB2K6 (Pitching Interface, Inside Edge, and Pure Motion Physics - even though this is broken, PMP will be better next year).

2k3, it wasn't as good as 2k4 but I loved it because it was a huge step up from the baseball games I had been playing before - World Series Baseball '95 on the Genesis, then All Star Baseball 1999-2001 (N64), and whatever the first PS2 All Star Baseball game was... I just got a ton of play out of 2k3 and even though I don't have my PS2 anymore the game is still on my shelf.

I'm still playing 2k4, but it never grabbed me like 2k3, probably because MVP's promise that year was so great. If not for the lefty bug that would have easily been the best baseball I had played to that point. Sidenote - never really got into High Heat, dunno why, maybe it was my lousy lousy old computer.

Did you really like MLB2K5 the best? Between both versions of MLB2K5, I would have to go with WSE.

2K4 and even 2K3 had the better overall gameplay by far. But I've tried to play those games since, and between the graphics and presentation, I just can't get into them. 2K5 was the next step forward in those areas, including what I think is the most important aspect of any baseball game: the pitcher/batter matchup. True Aim batting in 2K5 was the best hitting interface in any baseball game I've played. It was also really easy to see pitches coming in, to tell balls from strikes, and fastballs from curveballs etc.

The problem I have with 2K6 is they changed all that. There's no True Aim batting for starters. Plus they moved the batting camera further away from the plate. And the ball coming in isn't as clear graphically.

When I say 2K5 was the best, I guess I really mean the batting part of the game was as good as it gets. But I also found pitching (classic, which isn't in 2K6 either) was very good, AFTER player edits.

2K3. I played this game longer than any other of the series and enjoyed it the most.
