Ugh, when are they going to get anything Royals related right?! Mark Teahen was a corner outfielder ALL of last year! He will stay there this year and Alex Gordon has already taken 3rd base. They act as if last year never happened. The reason Teahen struggled last year was because he was coming off shoulder surgery and couldn't hit his stride. He's re-worked his swing and mechanics and the Royals' hitting coach said he's improved a lot. It wasn't only a 50 game clip. He was a ligitament power threat all of the 2006 season. IGN really doesn't know what they're talking about sometimes.

Most Overrated: Richie Sexson, 1B, 82. Remember our Carlos Delgado comment? Sexson was even worse. In one of the all-time stupidest things Bill Bavasi has ever done, he turned down a chance to get out from under Sexson's massive contract (in its final year) when he was claimed on waivers in August by pulling him back. Sexson barely hit .200 last year.

Most Underrated: Jarrod Washburn, SP, 75. Washburn's nothing special, but he's a reliable veteran starter, and he's pitched 200 innings of average ball for six or seven years straight now. That's better than a 75.

Agree on Sexson, but Washburn is not overrated. He's as average as they come. Beltre being a 79 is ridiculous. I have no idea why the national media and game raters hate on this guy. He's a top 10 thirdbaseman when you factor in his hitting, baserunning, and fielding.

2k really did a bad job with their ratings.

Brinkman said today that they have added a lot of new bat sounds and depending on the contact and velocity of the pitch, they'll be different.

Now, the ratings:

I don't thin Morneau is overrated at 88. I would have went with Craig Monroe since he is reportedly an 80. He was an 89 last season, so I see that they can't bring it way down, but after a poor '07, I was surprised to see him that high.

As for underrated, Kubel is right on. Only a 70?

I agree Hamels should be in the 90s as with CC, who should be in the high 90's.

Pat Burrell is a deserving 80-82 player, he is changing his game and making himself a better hitter at the plate.

Best defensive 3B?!?!? LOL

He made over 20 errors at 3B last season..he's actually quite a below average 3rd baseman.

Offense I'll give him. He's in the top 10 in 3B in terms of offense, but to say Pujols-like then you're insane.

Crossing my fingers on this. I really want to believe Ben hear but how come I haven't seen a video with different bat sounds? I'm guessing and hoping its because the vids are from early builds.
