MLB 2K13 Perfect Game Challenge Returns (Trailer and Screen Captures Included)

This video is also available on the OS Youtube channel, please subscribe while you're there.

We've captured some MLB 2K13 screenshots from the video, right here.

The Perfect Game Challenge returns again this year for MLB 2K13, but it will be a little different. 2K Sports will give away $25,000 for the perfect game, per team (based off of their scoring system, which includes strength of opponent, rating of pitcher and number of strikeouts).

The top four qualifiers with the highest score will head to New York during All-Star week and battle it out for $250,000.

Still no word on any new features for MLB 2K13 and there isn't much time left, since the game releases on March 5th, almost 3 weeks away.

Platform: PS3 / Xbox 360

I like that more. It's better that many people get a lot of money than one person getting a lottery figure.

A couple of quick clips in the beginning as well. Nothing surprising to see in terms of what would have/would have not changed, but it's just good to see that stuff might be popping up soon!

Well, I see they used mostly day-game footage for those quick highlights at the beginning. Day games were pretty much the only time that 2k12 player graphics looked tolerable. Skin tone in particular. I'm praying that night games have improved at least somewhat. I'm not a fan of that odd orange glow and serious lack of detail we saw from non-white players last year.

So they shouldn't market the game? The money they spend on this challenge is not out of line for just marketing, and it gets them press in a lot of places that drive sales to casual gamers. That money would not go to development any more than any other game's budget for marketing would go to development.

But this thread is exactly why they don't need to take time releasing videos of gameplay. All it does is provide a platform for people predisposed to complain, that weren't buying anyway, to rag on the game.
