Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)

odd fun fact
Felix Rodriguez, as a set up man, in 2001, received some votes for the NL MVP

and actually had more votes then Larry Walker, Vladimir Guerrero and a few others that year.

strange how the vault rating system works, really wish it had previews of the faces, would make it a lot easier.

Exactly, not even worth playing yet.

Trust me, after this week it will be getting a lot closer. Not necessarily to the final release but we will be making a lot of progress.

In the meantime enjoy the awesome work/pictures from Dr Sublime and Scooter!

Kernel Pie,

Thanks for the positive feedback.

Pee Wee is a sentimental favorite of mine.
When I was a kid the Brooklyn Dodgers were the World champs. After winning the World Series they went on a world tour. My dad was in the Navy and we lived in Hawaii. Thats where I fell in love with baseball.

My Dodgers were playing a night game against the Hawaiian All Stars.
During the game I went to the Dodgers dugout and asked if they would sign my ball.
One of the players said not during the game so I turned to walk away when Pee Wee Reese jumped up from the bench and said "Give
me that ball son...I'll get everyone to sign it! then he told me to "come back after the game to get your ball" I still have that ball today...

Roy Campanella, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Jr. Gilliam, Carl Erskin all signed it.

Doing my best on these faces is just my way to say thanks. I had to get Pee Wee Reese's face right.

enjoy,
scooter...BigKlu...

Re: OS All-Time Classic Roster (The Show '12)

I have a similar story w/ the Oakland A's (other then i have not done any of their faces)

I used to be a batboy during spring training, and i was scrounging around in the locker room after a game pestering them for autographs when Rickey Henderson got annoyed by something that I did (i think i was rummaging through his bats) and Reuben Sierra had to "calm" Rickey down and stood up for me, which was extremely cool.

anyway, Mr. Sierra became my instant favorite player.

Also, I remember telling Scott Brosius that I didnt have his card (because I had no idea who he was), after he approached me to give me his autograph, only to have him reach in my shirt pocket and find his rookie card and sign it.. haha
