Why oh why do I keep grounding out to third?

Seems like no matter what I do in my RTTS, I always ground out to third. Just don't get it. It always seems like I swing on time. I've tried earlier, later and I grounf out at least 2 times a game, minimum.

All my hitting stats are above 80. What do I do to fix this?

    What's your batting average?

    Do you use power swing?

Do you walk often, or not often?

        Thanks.

It's really hard to say because your post is pretty vague, no offense.

Are you happy with your overall stats, but just not with the fact that most of your outs end up 5-3? Could you go into more detail?

Righty or lefty (which translates, sometimes, to early and late timing)?

Look man, just forget I even tried to help.

            Good luck.

Do you use hit influence? Also, have you changed the pitch speed slider?

Easy fix... You should just start over, but make your new guy a lefty.

                Problem solved.

Re: Why oh why do I keep grounding out to third?

could be your swing influence, could be you're early on all your swings, although you think you're not, could be that you are constantly swinging at inside pitches, could be a variation of a number of variables.

There really isn't a "fix" for your "issue". There is no coding nor bug that makes it so a right handed hitter constantly grounds out to third, at least none that I have seen/read about.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Why oh why do I keep grounding out to third?

I kinda agree with countryboy....most likely you're ahead (swinging early) of pitches before the are centered in the strike zone....and from my experience, pitches to a righty that are closer to the outside of the plate + swinging early = those groundouts to thrid.

Agreeing with countryboy, there is no 'fix' per se. It's an aquired learning process to hold off for a millisecond, before over swinging on that type of pitch...which tops out or is pulled to third base.

Because you're pulling off the ball. You see pitch and instantly swing. Patient is the best way to be able to get opposite field hits. I have 52 walks and I am currently in June. You just have to be patient.

52 walks?! That's zen-like patience. My RTTS guy is a .400+ hitter with probably 8 total walks in his now 6-year MLB career.

I've met your RTTS guy, though, and he's so hopped up on roids and greenies he can't stand still long enough to take four pitches.
