Analog controls with against a human

I did a search for this but didn't find anything, so here goes.

I'm wondering how the analog controls, specifically for pitching, will be adjusted for a vs. game against another human in the same room.

It seems to me the pitch meter reveals whether you want to throw inside or outside, and that would be a huge advantage for the hitter. Has anyone heard or read anything that talks about how this is dealt with? With the traditional controls, you pick your spot in the zone you want to throw to and have the option to have the ball icon disappear. I play a lot against my brother at home and if he can see where I'm trying to locate, then that may be a problem.

From what I gather the Pitching Meter has been removed for 2player same screen scenerio. While it will make it just a tad harder pitching wise, this was the way to go. As for Online 'No worries there mate" the pitch meter will be viewable for each TV.

Hmm, thanks. Yeah, I guess it would make it a lot harder not having the meter visible. Apparently, the timing of your back-and-forth and how closely you hit the yellow line determines the accuracy of your pitch. Without being able to see that, how would it be possible? Unless you just can't use analog pitching in a 2-player local game.

I'm sure practice will be your best bet until it almost becomes 2nd nature. as for your second part. Each person can choose what ever customization they select. I say give it a shot, don't give up so easy or get fustrated, cause when it comes to MLB11 analog pitching and it's pitching meter just might be the key to take the game to a whole new playing level.

        Just words of inspiration..
