    Understanding Strike zone Graphic

When looking at the strike zone graphic it shows the zone, the ball location and the bat/swing. I see the text below that states the swing being early, perfect, late, etc. but the bat/swing diameter changes size and location and don't understand the meaning.
It doesn't seem to match the text

    Hey Kazzy,

I'm guessing you are playing with Timing hitting, in which case, you see what is called the PCI (Plate Coverage Indicator), which is what the big yellow oval/circle thing is. With Timing hitting, the PCI is dictated by the hitter's attributes. For example, Albert Pujols will have a big yellow circle throughout the entire at-bat, while some scrub shortstop will have a smaller one. Also, I'm fairly certain that the player's clutch rating affects the PCI as well so in the later innings or in a two-strike count, they PCI will still remain large.

There has been a (heated) debate about timing hitting on these boards and why the CPU decides to place the PCI in spots that do not make sense at certain times in the game. However, it's just a limitation of the particular hitting system. However, if you are more a ratings-driven player, I would suggest sticking with the Timing system.

If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask as there are many knowlegdeable fans here on OS.
