I have not yet. Too busy just trying to get a feel for the game this year. Still have only been able to play a total of 6 innings.

EDIT: For you Cub fans out there, the new 70 foot LED board and party deck did not make it into this years game. I understand though, as the real construction is not even done.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Impressions Thread

Just became a victim of the Pulse Pitching. Let one get away from me and Albert took me deep, lol. Overall really digging what this year is offering so far.

Player models/faces are spot on and I thought last yrs were good.

Box score at the end of 6 looks like this

R H E
LAD 1 5 0
LAA 2 7 0

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Impressions Thread

Finally finished a whole game with Cubs vs Marlins

Final box score

Cubs 0 3 1
Mia 2 3 0

I played this game on default All Star with PPitching and Pure Analog hitting. It was Garza against Johnson.

Had some beautiful outfield diving plays, and a liner pop right off the end of Castro's glove and trickle into the outfield. I made good contact against Josh, but obviously the Cubs do not have a ton of talent on the offensive side of the ball.

Coolest thing I witnessed...I actually balked a run from 3rd base. I said balked...not walked. I had two balks in this game, and both were legit.

The day-night transition is about as good as it gets

I have to take a break for a couple of hours, but will get to answering your questions in the other thread later this afternoon. So little time, so much..well you know what I mean.

The Bullpen now has 3 options to choose from.
1. Warm up

2. Stretch And Toss- Pitcher warms up quickly with the intent to go in the game at any time.

3. Put in game.

I believe #2 is a new feature?

Online will not be turned on until launch day.

As others have said. The ball physics make a world of difference, and is noticeable in the first at bat!

And yes, Stretch and Toss is a new feature added.

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Impressions Thread

FINALLY, after an excruciating 15+ minutes of install, ready to go. Right off the bat, the Wild Card intro is probably the coolest intro for a baseball game since Triple Play 99. What a well put together few minutes.

Alright, about to start playing. Be back in a few minutes.
