Is it cheap to use your own settings for online?

I find the games are more fun w/o GP, Strike Zones, Hot Zones, balks are turned on, no pitch marker, etc. But I think people are getting mad when have them on and use it to my advantage. How is it different for them to rely on GP when they are home, but I can't use my settings to my advantage when I am home?

My question is, when I hook up with you will I know those rules in advance? If so then I say hooray for you. If I didn't then I would be pretty shell shocked when the game started because it's not normal. I'd be flailing for an inning or so wondering what's going on? But then I don't play online a lot. If I played online a lot and knew that the home team dictated the settings then I'd have to adjust rather quickly.

The lack of the strike zone wouldn't bother me. I've actually been playing with it off this year. I would certainly balk a few times since I've never turned that on. And no pitch marker, ya, that one will be a killer. Never tried that one either.

Are you cheating? No. You certainly would have the home field advantage though!

No I think when it comes to personalized settings you should be able to use your own and your opponent be able to use his.

I personally like only playing with the catch region only on cause I think the big ugly baseball spinning around on the field for a fly ball is a bit ugly and takes away from the game.

Although amusing when my opponents doesn't realize he not standing in the right part of the region and misses a routine fly ball or if its alone drive there's no indication at all.

But I don't feel this should be forced upon an unsuspecting opponent. Like the one game I played. I turned off vibration because I was tired of the meter shaking all over the place when I was trying to paint the corner or edges of the strike zone. (I use analog pitching) Well my opponent turned of the ball marker so I was completely blind while pitching. Which really sucks when playing on legend difficulty and precision is everything.

I also wish you could use custom cameras online as well as your own settings. I have a custom off set camera that I hit very well with. But there's no point to it when I play mostly online and can't use it.

Basically difficulty level... Including fielding difficulty (which currently can be whatever u want) guess pitch etc. Should be universal for both players. But everything else should be able to be set to the users preferance such as ball icon fielding icons etc.

It took them years to implement pitching online from behind the pitcher. So who knows how long it will take for them to sort this out.
