Sending Players to the DL

When I've played my franchises in the past, I've started with the rosters I've set from Spring Training. However, this year I plan on replicating the real life Pirates rosters as of opening day. My question is, are we able to send players to the DL who are not injured? For example, Charlie Morton is out until mid summer in real life but is active on the current SCEA roster.

Only if you start the franchise "controlling"(I use parentheses....because you do not have to control ANYTHING...just set everything to AUTO) all 30 teams.
You can then put injuries to MANUAL and once you can set the injuries so that they will be healing around their expected return date.
I do it every year.

If you don't control all 30 teams and manually injure players...the CPU doesn't "see" the injury and doesn't DL the player.
It's something that got overlooked(it was a "bug" last year as well) and I've notified SCEA...but I don't know if it's something they can fix in a patch.

Works fine with 30 team control(but you have to DL them yourself).

Re: Sending Players to the DL

Knight thanks for the the quick response. So to get this straight, I have to do 30 team control to perform manual injuries? If I have 30 team control, what does this affect? Will this cause any changes from typical franchise playing? Can 30 team control be turned off after manual injuries?

Thanks in advance

Oh I'd love to do this! Hate when I am playing a dynasty, and guys are on the rosters when they're hurt in real life! On my team I always just put injured guys in A until they should be back!

You don't need to do the 30 team to do manual injuries...
But there is a glitch that the CPU(with you just controlling 1 team) doesn't DL players that you manually injure(which defeats the purpose )
You can't shut off 30 team control....but if you have everything to AUTO....(you can have the CPU draft as well this year)....the team runs itself.
Just do 1 thing....after you start and play a day or two...go back into the settings and make sure that everything is AUTO....scouting and something else click to MANUAL for some reason...just reset it.

Two profiles...one for your team...one for the others(AUTO)..
Default profile is the one for the other teams and both have to have MANUAL injuries(unless you are rolling the dice for your team)

It's Scouting and Drafting.

Re: Sending Players to the DL

So to get this straight, I make one profile for all the "other" teams and one profile for my team. The "other" profile has everything set to auto and mine I can adjust to either auto or manual depending on how interactive I want my franchise. If I set everything to auto for the other teams, that won't mess anything up correct?

Also, what did you mean by roll the dice with injuries for "my profile"?

Sorry I'm new to this whole 30 team control idea.

Thanks

That what I always do too in the regular season but in the playoffs you need the DL feature if you follow real life. Otherwise who ever is on your 25 man roster is who you have to stick with the whole playoffs.
