I didn't imply that you were. I was just objecting to the notion that Statcast stuff is all you should be considering. Until that data matures a bit more, it's no more than a complementary tool.

I think CarGo on the Rockies should be looked at. His speed has dropped off a bit with age and injuries but a 64 rating is a bit low.

Thanks, this has always bugged me. Any chance you could see where Dansby Swanson and Ender Inciarte fall on your scale? Ender is pretty close, but I believe Dansby is faster than a 74.

Dansby has a scouting grade of 60 on speed which is 76-80 on my scale and SCEA gave him 71.

Ok, thanks must have had an adjusted speed rating when I played a game with him. Where do you get your scouting grades?

I try to find times, old scouting reports and i consider their age and decrease accordingly, baseball cube grades and obviously my eye too and i consider other intangibles. For example guys that were 90's in their 20's are usually low 80's when they have between 30-33 then after that they regress quickly to like low 70's or even more if they have leg injuries like Beltran or ARod who were high 80's in their prime but leg injuries made them below avg runners in their 30's but there are exceptions like Ichiro that at 42 last year was still ranked as one of the top runners home to first with below 4 seconds times which its still elite.
