Well the World Series is set - Baltimore will face the NY Mets.
Mets won a thriller vs. the Dodgers in Game 7. Down 1-0 going in to the bottom of the 9th Granderson single home the winning run in a base clearing single to win 3-1.
My Orioles took care of business after dropping game 1 to the Indians 8-5. Winning the next four two by one run.
Scores:
Game 1 8-5 Cleveland
Game 2 6-3 B-More
Game 3 6-2 B-More
Game 4 1-0 B-More (Chris Davis solo shot in bottom of the 7th- Game winner)
Game 5 7-6 B-More --- Cleveland loaded the bases in the 9th down 7-4 scored two pull within 1 with runners on 1st and third Clutch Zach Britton came out of the bull pen to lock down the last two out and propel the Orioles to the World Series vs. the Mets who had the second best record with 102 wins. I believe I will post the box scores for this one now....More to follow- Game 1 later tonight!
Game 1 of the World Series saw the Mets jump all over the Orioles in a slugfest. The Orioles Bullpen, which had been effective all season was rocked for 6 runs over the last two innings.
Modifers were as follows:
1. -1 Power C/H
2. +1 Con H
3. +1 Power C
4. Black Joker Computer = +1 Power, +1 Con, +1 Pi Cons/Control, to overall - Steal Freq / Ability +2, Spd +1
With that said I, the O's, had a Power of 3 Contact of 10
CPU, Mets, had Power of 5, Contact of 10, Pi Control 4 and Consis 5.
Both teams had Steal Freq/ability 9 and speed of 5.
On to game 2....Need to pull this next one out as I head to NY after this one....

The Padres hitting still hasn't done well after the first 3 series, but they finally got a decent all-around pitching performance from their team. The first shut out of the season. The bullpen even did a good job to close out the final two innings for Pomeranz. With 3 games left against the Phillies, here is hoping the Padres find their bats.

If this season continues the way the first 8 game have its going to be a long year for the Padres. James Shields was rocked in the early innings but got out of any big run issues. The Padres hitting should be all over these young Phillies pitchers, but they cannot string any big hits together. They also are awful at hitting homeruns.

Bullpen issues are killing me. We had a total of three runs given up in the 7th inning off of bases loaded walks. I have done an okay job with base hits, but getting any extra base hits has been difficult. These are the games you wish you pulled out when it comes to late August and September. I am officially the worst team in the NL and just ahead of the 1-8 Astros.
Game went back and forth numerous times as both teams bullpens truly dismantled in front of my eyes. The Padres were able to sneak out the win thats to clutch hitting in the 8th and 9th innings. The final game of the series is tomorrow so they understand how to try and win a matchup.
