MLB Themes in MLB The Show 24

I saw a few videos that mentioned about 8 themes this year? Is that true, if so does anyone know if we can choose between 8 themes or maybe go back to the traditional 3 themes. Does anyone know? If so, will MLB Network theme be back as a choice this year? I heard something about MLB Network being in the game.

8 themes, but 4 are tied to storylines. Still more than we had last year.

I didn't see MLB Network branding on them.

From my understanding….

As @brcuise said, 4 a linked to storylines

1 is the The Show Network ( or whatever it’s called)
1 is the regional network linked to your team
1 is MILB for AAA and AA games
Last one ??? I have no clue

I listened to the presentation part of the stream again and it mostly breaks down as TripleCrown said (there may not be a choice for minor league games). While he did say 8 themes total including storylines, he only mentioned 3 as being outside storylines - The Show theme (national), regional, and minors. So it might be 5 tied to storylines, or one that they're keeping quiet on. I thought he had said 4 regular-game themes in the stream, but I guess I was mistaken about that.

From the Streams I've seen The Show Theme, A regional Theme, a minor league specific them and then I think the rest are era specific in storylines mode.

I didn't play last year, is regional different based on regions or is that just the name? Sorry for the ignorance. Finally returning to the game after a couple years. I really loved both themes they showed off for regular MLB games. The one they showed with the Rays vs. Red Sox especially, but I really loved the Blue Jay's vs. Phillies one too. Was hoping MLB Network made a return.

The regional theme's basic layout is the same for all teams, but includes a lot more user team "flair" (or home team in the case of CPU-only). Think of it like the Bally Sports branding for each region - it changes to reflect a local tv network for that region. So you'll have screen wipes that only show the user-controlled team logo instead of both teams side-by-side, unique "network" logos for each team, that sort of thing.

Oh wow, that's really cool. I really loved what I saw during the demo especially the Rays vs. Red Sox one. Was that the region theme?

I don’t recall the Rays vs Sox. But if you look at the premier we saw The Show Mid Atlantic for the Nats and Orioles. The Show SanDiego for the Padres. The Mid Atlantic had the capitol dome as the logo.

Assuming you mean the one that starts at 26:27 of the last feature premiere, it's the Regional Florida one (for the user-controlled Rays). If you look in the upper right corner during a replay you can see "The Show Florida" logo which is supposed to be the local branding for that region (plus the TB screen wipes in a game at Fenway Park).

The Philadelphia/Toronto game at the beginning of the feature premiere looks like the National theme, if you're curious about the differences.
