Realism aside, do the Mariners have enough in their farm system to acquire Votto if they take on his whole contract? Just trying to get an idea of what a fair trade would be.

My thoughts exactly but when your lefty has a 7.something era then it's a struggle lol

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Going to be starting a 6 team franchise(Det, Sea, Bos, Cubs, Arizona, Marlins). I'm going to have storyline of Sale continues to be pissed about the laroache debacle and. demands a trade. What would Seattle have to pony up for him?

They wouldn't trade him to Seattle. The Mariners don't have the goods. No elite prospects in that system.

Same problem. Both Seattle and Miami have mediocre to poor farm systems.

Case in point, looking at my 2016 BA Prospect Handbook (what a coincidence!), I see they've rated Seattle 28th and Miami 29th out of 30 teams.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Thinking about a package of

Judge, Sanchez, Refsnyder, Gardner and Wade for Stanton. Marlins get a surplus of prospects plus someone to replace Stanton's spot in the Outfield.

Could I get anything for Chase Headley? I'd be willing to take on a bloated contract. Perhaps a back of the rotation arm?
