And I hate to be that guy but there have been trades with most of these guys already in the thread.

Braun:Braun is good, but expensive and has his 10/5. Headline him with a guy around the top 50 and build on that. That should be consistent with things we've said in the past.

Madson:He's a meh reliever, he will get a meh return

Doolittle: Doolittle is hard because he's always hurt.

Gray: Gray won't be cheap pitching like he is. He's going to get a package similar to Quintana. So it will take the best prospect from most teams as a headliner.

Saunders:C+ prospect, maybe you can get lucky and get a B-. He's always hurt

Kendrick:Look at what the Phillies gave the Dodgers and go from there

Hellickson:He's expensive, a rental and not great. Again something like a C+ or low B. Best case is something like the Mike Leake rental trade

Johnson:C+ prospect and maybe a C on top of that.

Garcia:Injury prone pitcher that's missed time for injury? C+ is the best you could hope for

Phillips:C prospect. He was traded for pennies and has a partial no trade clause

Suzuki:None of those 3 teams make sense. Minnesota just let him go in FA. Colorado has better internal options. Detroit does too.

Britton:Like 90% of the Andrew Miller deal. Britton is pretty great

Castillo:Maybe a B prospect. He was non-tendered and he is playing decent but you won't get a stud for him.

Cabrera:Very little. Former PED guy who is playing marginally

Robertson:Look at the reports that are all over the news

Quintana:Like what I wrote for Gray. We've also seen examples of what CHI SOX turned down.

If you start asking about only a couple guys you'll get more responses. Its not exactly easy to give responses on like 15 guys especially when a chunk have had trades built already in the thread.
Sorry, yeah I've literally read through this entire thread the last two nights so I'm finally getting back to knowing a lot more about prospects and values but I'm still shaky. Just wanted to see if stats changed player's values like Melky and Suzuki. I used to be on this thread all the time a couple years ago.

Thanks! What about Glover, Soto, and Ward for Britton?

Also, how does David Robertson to the Rangers for RJ Alvarez and Jose Almonte look?

Sonny Gray/Jose Quintana to the Astros for Martes + Bukasuskas?

Sonny Gray/Jose Quintana to the Yankees for Frazier + Sheffield?

Sonny Gray/Jose Quintana to the Mets for Rosario + Szapucki?

Either you want to win in 2017 or you don't. If you're trading Arcia then why not go all in? Put together a package to get an ace. You certainly have the pieces.

Can't comment on the Yankee/Astros packages, but why would the Mets move Rosario for more pitching? I would think they'd want an upgrade at 3rd, or maybe even SS, if they're going all in.

I was going to do it with the intention of moving Zach Wheeler to the bullpen full time. They're actually getting good production out of Wright and Cabrera.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

Looking to acquire another starter for injury insurance and to maybe run a 6 man rotation like the Jays did last year with Liriano. I am in first in the AL East and 1 day until the trade deadline. Here are a few of my targets:

1) Edinson Volquez - Miami 10 games back of the wild card. 3-9, 4.83/1.51, 103K/57BB, 0.9 WAR in 117.1 IP. 2 years/22 M left.

2) Gio Gonzalez - Washington is 12.5 back of a wild card. 4-9, 3.39/1.34, 112K/35BB, 3.3 WAR in 119.1 IP. 1yr 12 mil left

3) Matt Garza - Milwaukee 8.5 out of a wild card. 8-8, 3.65/1.32, 83K/36BB, 0.6 WAR in 118.1 IP. 1 year 12.6 left.

4) Patrick Corbin - DBacks 6.5 back of a wild card. 4-8, 3.31/1.25, 81K/28BB, 1.3 WAR, 89.3 IP. 1 year 3.9 left.

5) Trevor Cahill - Padres out, 4-10, 4.49/1.50, 113K/51BB, 2.1 WAR, 106.1 IP. 1 year 1.7 left.

What would be the going price for these guys? I am also open to suggestions. Would take guys with 2 years left if makes sense as I have some openings next year. Could also look at rentals. 75-80 overall who can be trusted in the rotation.

Thanks!

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

What would the Dodgers have to give for Ian Kinsler?

What about JD Martinez to the Blue Jays? Ohlman(lotto ticket) + Travis (if they trade Kinsler) + one of Alford/Smith Jr./Gurriel Jr?

If you're not concerned with realism then you don't need any more advice. Any number of the trades in this thread can be used as a base for any young #2-3 type that you might want. Just find one and make a deal.

It doesn't sound likely that you're going to play long enough for teams like the White Sox to be competitive anyway, so it really doesn't matter how fair the deal is. Let the CPU logic control the other team and work a deal.
