    Differences between Franchise and Season?

Hi All. Been always playing on Season mode for MLBTS 16 on my PS3. I was wondering if someone could tell me the difference between "franchise" and "season".

Also what are the benefits of franchise? why should I do a franchise?

    any input is helpful..thanks

If I'm not wrong, "Season" you play as a manager, you set lineups and rotations but you can't trade or sign players. "Franchise" you are the GM.

You can make trades and signings, there just aren't any minor league teams, drafting, or scouting.

Thanks for the correction. I just play RTTS and Franchise. I wasn't sure if I was right or wrong lol.

hey guys. thanks for the info..i'm really not into being a GM I just like accurate rosters, doing trades that happen in real life and playing my teams. But thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

There still is drafting and scouting in season.
BFR's future is still TBD, stay tuned for updates

Frankly, there aren't many differences. In Franchise, you control the entirety of AA and AAA, and there are a few more expanded systems, but overall Season is just Franchise lite.

Oh yeah, and it's possible to have shortened seasons in Season made, but in franchise you're forced into the full season.

Season mode is my favorite, though I do wish SDS would expand it to be 50 man rosters with playable AAA games. I also wish as a manager I could get fired. Also also, I wish the draft for season mode was only 4-5 rounds so real players wouldnt be so quick to retire.
