I don't mind it. I was just hoping not to see my dude JDS get knocked out against Ngannou or something. I like Stipe a lot as well, he's been a good champ. Not a bad fight.

This fight makes me so mad.

How do you win 1 fight, and get a title shot?

JDS is...
1-1 in his last 2
2-2 in his last 4
3-3 in his last 6

Hes literally lost, then won, then lost, then won, then lost, then won...
On what planet does that warrant a title shot??

This fight is being made because drama between Stipe and JDS. They already fought once, now lets see a rematch! Can JDS win the belt again?? UFC matchmaking is getting completely insane lately.

I hear you, but who else do you put in his place?

Werdum and Cain are out.

Overeem just lost to Stipe.

Derrick Lewis is fighting Browne.

Hunt is out of the picture.

Rothwell last lost to JDS.

Unless you fast track Ngannou or feed Lewis to Stipe, there aren't all that many great options at heavyweight right now.

Maybe Im crazy but Id honestly rather Werdum get the fight.

He's..
5-1 in his past 6
7-1 in his past 8

Which is waaay better, and more consistent than 3-3..

Since coming back to the UFC Werdum has dominated everyone but Stipe. His only loss was against Stipe, in a super weird moment where Werdum just fought really really dumb, and not like himself at all.

I dunno. This fight with JDS-Stipe just seems so wrong.

And don't get me wrong. I actually really like JDS, and it is a fun fight, there's just NO WAY he deserves a title shot.

Re: UFC 211- Miocic v. Dos Santos 2 - May 13

I'm not a big fan of giving title fights to people who turn down fights. According to Werdum, he considered the Cain rematch a #1 contenders fight and the winner would get a shot a Miocic.

Cain was injured and the UFC offered Werdum the JDS fight on Feb 19. Werdum wouldve had 7-8 weeks to prepare. JDS wanted the fight. Werdum turned the fight down. Werdum thought he was in a stronger position to argue that he should get the shot based solely off beating Browne. The UFC disagreed.

There are arguments for JDS getting the shot:

- His most recent win was over a higher ranked contender than Werdum (Rothwell over Browne).

- He has wins over both the champ and the #1 contender.

- While he may be 3-3 in his last 6, two of those were championship fights against Cain.

- You could make an argument that JDS competition has been stronger over the last 6 fights. Werdum fought Browne twice, a shot Big Nog with great wins over Hunt and Cain. JDS has a KO over Cain, a win over the champ and an impressive win over a top 5 fighter in Rothwell.

All I'm saying is an argument can be made that JDS gets the shot. Werdum shouldve just taken the February fight and left no doubt that he deserved the shot.

My vote is for Hunt. Repayment for making him fight roids his last couple of fights.
