Which version is better PC, X Box, PS2 an why

Please give me your input. I am aware of the MVP mods for PC but other than that is there really any significant difference in the PC and Console versions?

well other than a huge upgrade in graphics on the pc, they all play pretty much the same.That being said, with the pc version you install and modify the datfile wich can manipulate the the ball contact, ball direction such as less line drive and gappers and doubles down the line. I have both the ps2 and the pc version......and i tell you now, the ps2 version is collecting dust while the pc version feels like a brand new game to me......just my .02

Agree! The PC version is the way to go. Better graphics, endless visual, sound, animation, camera, and roster mods, and IP to IP online play makes the PC version far superior.

Please elab on the camera mods. Are there any other fielding views besides zoom and ariel???

Some of the cam mods( and these are just some ) the batter walk up has been vastly improved, the cam will start about 40 feet away and zoom in and do a 360 around the player up to his face......very cool.One of the arial fielding cams have pov from like the upper deck and to me its the coolest thing ive seen.They have the high heat batting view and there is even a cam in which the camera trails the ball wherever it goes after its been hit....and that just scratches the surface.....there are so many more mods for cam and just about anything you could want to modify.....its crazy

Rayer, if you buy it thorugh eb, gamestop blah blah,blah it's still 29.99 even through amazon its about that much, but you can find it on ebay for $10 to $25........but to me its worth paying the full price even if you have 2

thanks...unfortunately no more online play available on xbox live. and if all these MODS make it seem like an updated and new game, maybe i
'll go for the PC version, ratherthen spend $40 for mlb2k6

?? I dunno if the graphics are "better." Is that b/c i didnt download a mod for graphics??? The men look a little more "pixelated" even though the grass does look better and stadiums are kool. I am having trouble downloading the mods in that i am not sure once i download what to do with the file...

Did you change the resolution under the visual setting in the game options? Should probably go to at least 1024 x 768 and turn on some aa and af.

I'm sure this is a pretty stupid question, but here goes. What is the control mechanism on PC. Is there a joystick/controller or do you have to use the keyboard?

There are a couple gamepads that are set up like the PS2/XBox controllers and work well with EA sports games. I think I have the Logictech one, though it is not in front of me at the moment, so I am not sure the brand.

Thank you for the info. I've been playing on xbox for a while now. The mod stuff seems awesome but wasn't thrilled with the idea of using the keyboard. I think i'm gonna make the move to the PC.

PC version is the way to go for the mods alone but after spending the last 3 hours trying to manipulate things to get mods to actually work, I am done and moving onto other games. With so many games out now, I cant see the benefit of waisting so much time trying to get a simple mod to work when I could have spent that time playing Oblivion or GRAW for example, to each his own, just be forwarned that some mods can drive you nuts when you cant get them installed correctly.
