Freezing XBOX Bug

I'm been MLB video game free for around a month now, but I have just joined these boards, and never really thought about making a thread like this anywhere else.

So here's my problem:

I have an XBOX, and I had MVP Baseball 2004. I would play the game all day in exhibitions, never had any problems. Then when I got to my franchise, I would play a game, then when I went to quit the game after it was finished, the game would freeze! NNNNOOO!!

I eventually sold the game, but couldn't stand playing ESPN MLB Baseball and bought it back. However, the different disc did the same thing!

I really don't believe it was my XBOX, because all my other games work fine. I think that EA Sports is out to frustrate me though.

Anyone else have this problem?

EDIT: But I'm definitely planning on getting MVP Baseball 2005. I loved MVP, but I couldn't deal with the freezing bug that haunted me.

No i'm almost halfway through my second season and have not had major problems!
I did get freeze up i think twice but not often.
I have a new xbox and think maybe it's your xbox.
EA tends to make games with high volume and asks a lot out of your system,
so i would think an older slower xbox probably can't keep up....if you understand that.

No i'm almost halfway through my second season and have not had major problems!
I did get freeze up i think twice but not often.
I have a new xbox and think maybe it's your xbox.
EA tends to make games with high volume and asks a lot out of your system,
so i would think an older slower xbox probably can't keep up....if you understand that.

What kind of DVD drive do you have on your Xbox? Thompsons are more likely to freeze, Philips almost never will and Samsung's are almost flawless.

it IS your XBOX.. i had the same problem with asb A LOT... so got a new xbox and have had no problems... runs smmoth nmo glitches freezes or anything... it is awesome.. and i think also it has to do wiht the older xboxs NOT having cooling fan like the new ones do.. i love my new xbox...

I had an XBOX that I bought around Christmas time of 2002. However, that XBOX was broken (I refuse to tell anyone why ), so I purchased a new XBOX in Janurary of 2004.

It does seem that EA games freeze more often then the other games I own. Specifically, Need For Speed: Underground did, NHL 2004 did (just once), Madden 2005 (just once), and of course MVP Baseball 2004 (a handful of times).

I'll have to check which DVD drive I have. How do I cehck that anyways? Does it just say on the CD tray or something?
