    NBA 2K23 Knowledge Sharing

Hi there, just wanted to make a central thread about things we notice or can tweak in order to make the game play better or look aesthetically more realistic as a community.

I’ll go first, I’ve noticed upping Lateral Quickness to 75 in the gameplay sliders improves hip riding animations and to me makes the game look aesthetically better. I hate seeing the CPU react cluelessly if there is any space at all between the ball handler and defender when close to the basket.

Even 75 is too low imo. I have it at 95 for the cpu side (50 for user side). Even with cpu at 95 it’s often easy to do blow by’s.

I find putting Run Plays at 0 and Offense Focus on Star Players in all the team’s Coaching Profile makes the game more organic and you see more offensive variety from the CPU.

If the contest didn't trigger so far out I think the CPU would shoot more frequently. Unfortunately I think it's because the CPU thinks it's covered when in reality there is 3 feet between them and the defender.

This might be a roster tendency issue, have you tried raising everyone’s take contested midrange and 3pt shooting in the rosters? Another idea is to raise the spot up midrange tendency as well.
