I follow your league, and its a good league. You guys are the only other 12 min hof sim league that I know of besides mine, and you are having the same shooting problems we have.

Its the shot glitches on 50 default speed. Hof sim jumpers that are slightly early or slightly late drop at a veŕy low rate. So if you are shooting with guys who cant get a perfect release its gonna be a struggle and shooting will be highly inconsistent, no matter who the player is. My advice is to just go with the hot shooter in each particular game and avoid the cold ones. On hof sim the shot releases are more important then the ratings so expect better results from the favored shot releases.

Certain teams have fewer glitched shooters then others. I just try to play thru it the best I can.

Like alabamarob said some players have glitched shots. Missing open shots, messes me up too. It gets in your head & make you pass up shots you would normally take. We're in the same league & I went on a 6 game losing streak trying to keep shooting with the few players on my team that I can get perfect releases with. Once guys start to realize what's going on & start to design their defenses to stop those guys, your only resort is to shoot with the ones who can't.

My advice is just keep shooting & hope for the best.

I don't know your whole roster. I have watched your games before.


The game on HOF and SS has a high number of shooters that are glitched. Like Alabamarob said you will not get a perfect release with some shooters. My opinion is they designed the game to punish you hard for not getting a perfect release on SS Sim and then they made it even harder elevated on HOF. Watching some of those games on Sim City is brutal man. I have played some games where I can get 10 perfect releases and others I only get a handful with a team like the Mavericks which had basically no or very few of their shooters glitched

Kobe is not glitched but he is only a 75 rated shooter. Low 70 usually is a low 30fg% it has been something like that in the past. So think about how they penalize you from that standpoint. Kobe should not be taking high volume 3s. You are better off trying to get Kobe warm in post fades before trying to take threes


Lin is not glitched either but he has a low offensive consistency ratings so he cant be counted on as well game to game despite being a 80 rated shooter.


Parsons probably should be your first three point option threat but not necessarily 3pt plays but pick and rolls when he is spotted up in the corners.


Other than that you really can't do anything else they are going to miss more shots on HOF. Practice your releases and try to get your players in hot spots

I saw you running triangle plays.


How many 4-1 fist or angle plays you have? You need that 92 I think fist play in the Mav's playbook. It is a double screen when you have the option finish in the paint or hit the person in the corner which should be Parsons open.


I think they made HOF extra hard but pay attention to your consistency ratings. You have a better chance making the shots with the player with the better consistency rating. They designed it to me with the intent on players getting a certain amount of perfect releases which really fluctuate from team to team and game to game and user to user.

A lot of it is just like it's always been and it's one of those things where you have to REALLY know your personnel. You have to know who will hit, when and from where and in what situation and this comes from tons of court time.

You also have to recognize how the defense is playing you. If you play into the hands of the defense, you won't shoot well.

Shot selection is more important than ever this year and you have to pay attention to who is getting it going and who isn't .

I'm a chucker by nature so it's a tough lesson to learn for me as it is every year and while I think it's a farce that you can't get green releases at least on occasion with every player on hof sim, I've noticed that the more selective I get, the better I shoot.

In any case, it's still pretty challenging and I'm not going to tell you it's easy but I'm able to shoot 45 percent plus in many games now while missing tons of shots mainly because I'm trying to find plays that get me layups and shots closer to the basket but even that's not a guarantee and you probably know this because guys that play 12 minute quarters are often serious players who can defend.

So my advice is once you pull the trigger often enough in similar situations only to see it fail, you've got to learn from it and pass up that shot instead of continually repeating the same mistake and shooting the same shots again and again.

Obviously the better team you use, the more margin you'll have for error. Get creative on offense and dig deeper in your playbook as well so your tendencies and options are broader as well. The more options in your bag of tricks the better.

That said shooting sucks this year on hof sim lol.

Watching the Blazers in your league are lightng it up.

Its a glitch on default game speed for some players, which is what online games are played. Mavs and blazers main shooters arent glitched so they shoot fine.
