free agents disappearing

I'm not sure where to ask this.. But is there a way to keep free agents from disappearing brim the pool in myleague after a season is over?

i had the same problem, what i did was try to put all players into teams, and when the next season came, they were not sign and put back into the FA Pool....Problem is there is to much Draft guys and the guys who dont get picked up are then put into FA replacing everyone lol....

2K made it to where most if not all players who are free agents for the whole year and are not picked up by any team, will disappear after the season is over.

It's more than that. If a player is waived before the end of the season by the user (since the CPU NEVER waives/buys out ANYONE mid season) that waived player will disappear in the offseason free agency pool.

Anyone on free agency by the end of the season is gone from your MyLeague and replaced with the 90 undrafted rookies from that draft class, most of which will be rated below a 55 overall.

It's unbelievable some of the decisions that were made in this development cycle.

It is kinda ridiculous. My Franchise doesn't have Bynum, Nate Robinson, Beasley, etc. because of this. I'm sure Larry Sanders and Javale McGee will disappear forever too.

This issue frustrates me too!, my only suggestion is too move a few players to where you think they might sign before you hit the off-season, and sign whoever you want to stay around to some non playoff teams, sadly the rest will be wiped

If you're a One Team Only Franchise Guy like me, you could edit the roster before you even start, and sign a lot of the bigger names to one year deals to their previous team, or any team w/ space then give them a season long Suspension or injury, then start the Franchise after that. I just thought of it and I'm going to give it a try right now.

It's disappointing that this bug has been left in the final finished product of the game!. I understand NBA 2k16 priority now but to leave a game with a bug that detrimental to the feature is a big concern, especially after they promoted MyLeague like crazy last year....

Sure enough the development team will pop up around October again to hype 2k16, and claim that it will be the biggest and best game.

You assume that this was discovered and/or reported to us and we deliberately ignored it. In the scope of a game as big as this, some things can slip through the cracks and not get reported in time for us to fix them.

I really don't get the cynicism. "The development team will pop up around October". Well, yeah. We're proud of the game we make and we want to share that excitement with you guys. You're saying that as if we're not keeping close tabs at the threads going on throughout the year to track bugs and improve next year's game. Just because we're not replying to all of them doesn't mean we're not sending them to each other internally, discussing them and turning them into fixes and improvements.

In any case, appreciate the reports and I'll look into the behavior so we can tune that for the future.

Some things that might help are if the players that get replaced are of a certain age and above, of a certain overall and below, or if you're seeing players that are relatively young and of decent overall get replaced. Also, it would help if you can mention if you're using any custom MyLEAGUE sliders and settings, or just the defaults. Any details that would help track this down would be appreciated.

Leftos good to hear from you!...apologies for the cynicism, I may have sounded like I was having a dig, and to some extent I kind of was.

But, I do ask that you look at it from a customers point of view on this one, as essentially the fact is as it stands, we have a basketball game where up to 100 players a season are "disappearing"...now I understand that NBA2k is a big game, and I'm not a computer programmer or a game designer or educated in any of those sort of fields, but if you invest a lot of time into a MyLeague or MyGm and have these issues that constantly ruin your experience it obviously becomes an annoyance.

Obviously we hear from guys in the lead up to the new release, I get that, and I understand that there will be somethings that will need "adjusting" ,But we don't know what goes on in the meetings and discussions, or what is being addressed and noted, So come this time of the year, I do feel we as customers are left in the dark as far as what will be fixed and functioning correctly on this years game, or will it be just be fixed 2k games in the future.

That's why I was cynical.

Oh and I was using a Custom Roster and a Custom Draft class on XBOX ONE, but I also tried it with Default 2k Rosters and a Custom draft class and found the same issue, as for players of a certain age and overall i think it's more to do with any unsigned Free Agent player that are in the Free Agent Pool before you hit the Off-Season tasks screen and doesn't get signed anywhere before the start of the new season are the players that are disappearing.
For example I went through an Off-Season and deliberately didn't re-sign Lebron James to any team but he was still in the Fee Agent Pool in the next season, but a players who entered the Free Agent period without a contract (Andray Blatche, Andrew Bynum, etc) were deleted.

That's pretty much been the NBA2k teams norm for a while now, to leave issues that are problems in Association mode or the career modes for a few years before fixing. Im pretty sure this has been a issue of somewhat for a yr or 2 now, with players in FA disappearing if not signed. Heck just looks how long it took them to fix Association stats bugs on the last gen, and the CAP, and roster 2k share bigs have been issue on the old console for a few years, and never got fixed.


Obviosuly no ones is perfect and with a game this detailed its understandable to miss something, but the NBA2k team hasn't always been overly truthful when it comes to issues either which is what is most upsetting.


I will say I do think this is the best effort they have ever put forth as its th emsot enjoyment I have gotten out of a basketball game since CH2k8, and NBA2k8, even on old gen the gameplay was very good, and wow at how it plays on the PS4 now that I have it. So don't want to people to think Im just ripping them, but they definitely could be better when it comes to the customers.

Younger and older guys alike are disappearing - Players ranked in the mid 70s as well.
