CPU Cherry picking touchdowns? Anyone else?

Anyone else encountering a fair amount of CPU cherry picking touchdown passes to a big in the paint-- usually too close to the basket to contest?

It's happening like once a game on six minute quarters, maybe more or less.

And when playing on broadcast cam, you have no way of responding to it. The pass happens immediately after you score while the camera is focused on the CPU ball handler and hits the big near your paint off screen for a layup or dunk. Not sure if it's due to CPU uncanny pass accuracy or defensive awareness of teammates losing their guys even on a made basket or both. You guys seeing this a fair amount?

I've only really played my career and the last game alone that I played recently, it happened twice, back to back.
My team scored and as we're running back, boom, long pass and easy lay up.
Some times when it happens my big is standing under the back board, out of bounds, almost asking for it to happen.

Yep Ive noticed. Not sure if its because I play with a slow, defensively poor team.

      Who do you play with?

I've noticed it too. A few times a gay they'll just rocket it down court on a pin point string to a big man in the paint.

It's the cheesiest thing the ai has ever done to me haha. Doesn't happen that often though

Yeah I've seen it a few times...especially on broadcast

seems like they'll try it at least once a game...

Surprised no one has mentioned it. PF is always open in transaction.

Only team I have issues with is OKC.

You mean that a chosen camera might have its disadvantages as well as advantages?

I've seen it happen but the frequency is nothing alarming.

The accuracy of the passes is still a bit too high...whichever camera angle you use..

not a huge deal for me....since even on broadcast, it's deflected most of the time...

but it still can be a cheap 2 points for the CPU

I honestly can not say if the passes are too accurate because it happened to me against the Clippers with Chris Paul throwing the pass... something that I feel he could do accurately and I saw it against the Cavs but I do not remember who initiated the pass there.

Is it cheap? Yes but it does happen so as long as the frequency is still realistically low, I am not alarmed yet. As I said in the other thread, I am happy the ai would at least try it.

Oh I agree....wouldn't classify it as a huge issue....because most of the time even if it's completed I'll block it or get contact and they'll miss

Re: CPU Cherry picking touchdowns? Anyone else?

You see I just saw this complain for the first time in the impression thread just. It has happened to me. But only like 2 times. And both times I thought it was my fault.

And we are talking about this right?......

The more I watch it. The more I can see the problem. Seems like a get back on defense logic there.

I'm guessing that part of the problem is that teammate pass detection is below what it needs to be. If a pass is in the air for two seconds, teammates in the area need to react to it and either deflect or intercept.

This never happened in previous 2Ks. The CPU never tried to cheese me. Heh.

For me it doesn't seem to get blocked or deflected. It's usually caught close to the rim for a free layup. The AI teammates don't defend it well or bat down the pass, and the camera switches too slow for me to react.

This is happening with teams that have run of the mill PGs like Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Smart, and I've never seen Chris Paul actually make a play like that-- not because of the pass accuracy only but because the defense wouldn't just let the recipient catch it in the paint unimpeded if they're in the vicinity.
