The face scan 40% problem

so has that been addressed already to 2k? my scan appears to work, i then go to "scan your face", run it, and it progresses to 40%... and then does nothing. i don't know for how many hours i've tried to re-scan and re-run it. nothing.

Try going closer that's how I got past that problem but I still haven't got a good face scan yet lol

which device did you guys use? i tried it with an iphone 4s, which apparently is not supported (god knows why, since it has the most current ios), a samsung, which has android 4.xx, but the app requires 5.x (thanks for telling me beforehand) and a nexus tablet. with the nexus tablet i actually got the scanning to run, but there appears to be no way around that 40% issue. i've tried all tipps i found online, nothing worked.

Same for me. Has stopped at 36, 40, 44 and 48% so far.

This entire face scanning process 2K uses is definitely not the best.

First the fiasco with the PS camera, and this app is just buns. They tried, I guess. Least it works for some people

I think it's the devices . I know a few ppl with certain androids who are struggling . iPhone 6 and up have had no problems .

Not to say that it could be lighting etc ...

im having the same issue on ps4 the error message im getting is there was an issue with your scan please follow the instructions, i done it like 20 time still same issue

It definitely depends on the devices. I tried three different devices(with good lighting) and only one gave consistently good scans while the other two pretty much didn't work or gave horrible scans.

I was getting the 40 pct problem when i tried to do it in a room with normal lighting from a lamp or fan.


I have a Galaxy s7 and i get excellent scans if im under overhead fluorescent lighting . I can get average scans in my bathroom close to the fixture with 3 CFL light bulbs. I can never get it to recognize my face outside in sunlight.

I have up on this scanning process. 2k really dropped the ball here Especially when compared to the ea's face scanning technology. Hopefully within the first month of release after this issue becoming more mainstream with people purchasing the full will 2k update the app/game to get more accurate scans

Here's my theory....

The problem might be with your device itself.

In other words.... how much 'free space' do you guys have on your smartphones?

As you scan your face... those images have to be stored (somewhere) on the device BEFORE they are uploaded to the server for 3D rendering.

Try deleting some of your oldest photos... BEFORE you try to scan your face.... to free up some extra room, and see if that works.

Just saying.
