Unlocking Additional Upgrade(My Career)

Hello,

Been playing the NBA 2k series for years but fairly new to My Career. I am currently a 86 Ovr PG but I am maxed out on available upgrades. I did a bit of research and found you must fill the "Doing Work" meter to continuously progress to another unlock. I also seen in my research they said you should get an upgrade about every 5 practices...I am nowhere near this pace...I normally spend my "Optional Practices" doing the vertical jump as that fills it all the way up after 2 golds...

however when its full, its full and I go out of it and see the progress. It seems like this would fill up about every 10 practices but feel I must be missing something since I seen somebody say about every 5 practices...Any insight is appreciated.

Also my PSN is Niles2008 and am always looking for park players to team with(I am a pass happy PG).

It's 6-7 practices depending how much your last practice overlaps into the next upgrade progression.

You get 3 practices per day + the one before a game so it's all about how much you want to do it.

Doing majority of the practices my current player will be maxed out around mid-season. Or you could sim to playoffs where its 4-7 practices in between games/series.
