How Can The In-Game Roster Editor Interface Improve (Not Discussing CAPS Quality)

Note: This is NOT in reference to the quality of created players.
Note: This is NOT in reference to the quality of created players.

The question is how can the in-game roster editor be improved from an interface standpoint.

Here are a few things I can suggest

    1. I think we need a button for the following

    MIN
    MID
    MAX

So we wouldn't have to scroll all the way to 25/63/99

Maybe those can be mapped to Y/X/A (XBOX 1)

    2. Enable a Global Editor. If I want to put EVERYONES "Drive Right Tendency" to 0, I should be able to do that with a few simple clicks.

Please add suggestions because I know Leftos is open to this as he has mentioned it in the past.
    Concrete evidence/videos please

    1. Global editing
Yes, global editing options are a must for assigning ratings and tendencies. As it stands fully creating one fictional or historical player from scratch takes a while but its bearable.

When editing an entire draft class or team rosters it can take hours going through each player's tendencies one by one. Draft classes are my biggest concern but I know this annoys roster makers as well.

    2. Some vitals on quick edit screen.

Can we get access to edit some vital info on the quick edit screen? Things like motivations ( play for winner, loyalty, etc) should be editable here. This is mainly for draft classes.

Even age, peak age info could be easily editable here.

I would really like to see the ability to type a number using the keyboard as the value for whatever Attribute or Tendency I am editing. If I want someone to have a 74 FT attribute i could just type it in instead of scrolling thru numbers. I like the MIN & MAX idea as well.

All these ideas are great and much needed. Even simply faster scrolling would be an upgrade. Is it just me or does it scroll slower in quick edit? Global editing would be amazing. Have a few filters for position, team, attributes, etc and then either set a value or have it increase/decrease x amount. Tabbing by position has also been missing from 2K for a while and would be nice to have back.

Scrolling from 100 to 0 in Tendencies is time consuming. I hope they add those types of features you guys said, for sure.

Edit: That and the ability to rotate your player when you're choosing his form + an option to see if he's shooting the ball high/straight on/normal.

make it compatible with a keyboard.

Not sure why this was removed. Trigger buttons should just rotate the player or even the Analog Stick.

Fully agree with the need for a global editor for both ratings and tendencies

We need a "Global Editor" option. For example, if I want to drop EVERYONE'S rating by 10 pts in Strength, or Down to 25, I should be able to do that with one click.

Also, a "Global Editor" for each player. If I am editing down Fake Prospects in a draft class, I should be able to press a button to reduce ALL of his ratings to 25 or max out his numbers to 99.

Give us the ability to add/remove headbands, add/remove undershirts, etc. I am a big Deron Williams fan but he is bald in the game and they removed his headband- doesn't look right without a headband lol

Regarding the main menu roster editor:

Allow us to do "transactions" much easier. Right now creating a roster for our league is a pain in the *** and takes several hours to finish. Injured players cannot be moved (which brings me to another point: heal a player with a button click, not by scrolling through all injuries). You also have to have 13-15 players on every team at all times. This means I have to assign 2 players to a team, then waive 2, then assign another 2, then waive to and so on. This is why creating a custom roster consumes so mich time. Would be better if roster restrictions are unimportant during the editing process. As soon as I want to save the roster, each team has to have 13-15 players.

Make it so clicking the triggers or bumpers increase/decrease values by 10. Or make it so the left stick and D pad move by different amounts.

Make everything except appearance editable by the quick edit menu.

Make it like NCAA Football where you do the edits on the computers and import it into Xbox. Preferably make it spreadsheet friendly so you can just edit it on a spreadsheet and import it to the site and to the game. Would be perfect IMO as I am sure some guys could do wonders with formulas to pop out tooooons of draft classes.

For draft classes the ability to save presets and/or copy and paste complete players (or just attributes if you want)

Yeah copying a players attributes/ tendencies from a real player onto a created would make draft classes really easy to make. Especially historical draft classes where you are essentially creating a younger version of players that may be in the game already.

I would like to be able to assign free agents and created players to euro and classic teams also. Right now you can only assign players to NBA teams.

Not sure if it's been patched, but there's a quick edit bug on Xbox One that makes the who game crash when you scrolll all the way to the end of the tendencies list (all the way over to Foul, Contest Shot, Hard Foul, etc.) Could be devastating to someone who just got done putting a lot of work in.
