    NBA 2k18 Dynamic Referee Tendencies

I don't think this could ever be a possibility but it would be a cool idea to have Dynamic Ref Crew Personality Badges/Tendencies, 3 different Ref crews, one ref crew calls game tight the other lets you get away with contact/shoves/jersey holding and the other calls the game 50/50. So basically from game to game you'll have different fictional referee crews officiating the game differently. I think it was MVP Baseball that did this with their umpires, some had a wide strike zone and a tight one. Would this interest you guys to be implemented in a future release.

In FIFA this is possible - so I don't see that much of a problem. But people will (like always) complain as soon as they don't get their fouls called.

Also you need the LBJ Badge implemented, so you can start to cry for a foul. ;-)

Yeah just implement a FIFA-like system, fake refs with a simple profile of lenient-average-aggressive or something to that level. Could spice up MyLeague and playoffs

I really like this idea. Adds some variety to each game.

A possible substitute could just be making minor changes to the fouls sliders, correct? Or do they affect other aspects of gameplay as well?

But at the very least different referee models.

It's a good idea...but there's a 90% chance 2k messes it up somehow. The foul calls are already broken, the Charges in the paint are rarely called correctly, canned foul animations, etc. If they can make the foul calls accurate then maybe they can try to implement this idea.
              ... But hey VC sale!!

I'm not a fan of this. It works well in a baseball game but not for basketball I don't think. Even of done right. The players ability to draw fouls as well as sliders should be enough.

Not a bad idea but I agree I don't like it for basketball.

It would only make sense if 2k moved to a physics based animation system.

I think they t would be cool. MLB The Show had it and it added another element to the game. Each ump called the strike zone differently and you had to adjust how you pitched during a game. When it came to pitching no game was the same.
