I like to look forward to something too. But I think it was pretty obvious that they were not going to give us a lot of retro teams. At least with recent teams, you know you are going to get full rosters. As far as the retro teams...wouldn't count on it.

2k has soiled the name "classic" maybe they should call it "random" teams instead because outside of them adding teams they know they could get the most players on its pointless if you bring teams no one cares to play with.

Well the 2013 Heat were made a classic team less than 5 years after they broke up. It's nothing new but I still think they took it to another level of "too soon" with Golden State.

I think the frustration is just displaced. 2K hooked a lot of people in with those first two choices ('97 Heat and '99 Knicks) which rightfully got some folks thinking that a healthy dip back into the older eras was imminent. It's not 2K's fault and they didn't do anything wrong, I just think some folks let their imagination run wild after those first two picks.

I admit, even in my case, I was a little caught up in thinking 2K would save a handful of special teams for the final four reveals. I thought it seemed like a reasonable expectation. Alas, it wasn't so.

Same here. Kind of a "thrill of the chase" situation. These last two weeks have been pretty fun. While choices like this haven't done much for me (ditto Grizzlies Day), there were a lot of pretty great and welcoming reveals as well. It's been an entertaining gamble.
