Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
My first build was a Playmaking Shot Creator and I enjoy his play style, but he's only 6'3 and I didn't max out his wingspan. I want to make a new, taller build with max wingspan and something that is more capapble to locking up opposing PGs. What builds would you guys recommend for comp pro-am? -
Re: Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
Honestly, if you're not going Pure Playmaker I'm not convinced any other build can really top it. I have a buddy with HOF Dimer and none of my characters are Sharp primary but I shoot like one when I play with him. Some of my friends who are used to creating their own shots and usually stick to the meter have a hard time playing with him because it DOES change the shot timing and give you more load ups. However, as someone with lower ratings (mid 70's on my 2 'shooting' archetypes) I've turned off the meter the last 3 years and only watch his hands. It really does make a difference. -

Our PG has sharpshooting-playmaker. Depends on playstyle, if you're not the type to shoot many threes then pure playmaker I would say.Comment

Re: Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
The answer is always it depends on what is around you and how you utilize it.
I guess the most common build I see is the sharpshooting playmaker. But hey, if you're a great slashing playmaker and that's what you like to do, and you have shooters surrounding you, then why not that?Comment

Re: Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
It's all about your playstyle. IMO 6'8 ShotMaker or 6'9 PlayCreator. Both builds are OP if used correctly. It only takes 3 or so possessions to get on fire. Once that happens you can Green the 3ball pretty consistently. I wouldn't advise going in PRO-AM with a build under 6'5. You're gonna be food in there if your build is too small.Comment

Re: Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
I only play pro am and I have a 90 ovr Playmaking slasher. 6'3" 200 pounds, default wing and shoulders. My guy gets crazy poster animations very easily with his speed and ability to create space. I recently made and wish I had known about the Slashing shot creating build. Basically the exact same attributes but instead with 91 mid, 77 3 ball, and almost identical dunking. The added bonus is hall of fame ankle breaker. I avg 25 and 10 easily with my playmake though. I put up 36 and 14 with him yesterday. Silver dimer is plenty.Comment

Re: Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
Pure Playmaker no question about it. However, the answer is really that which you will perform best on a consistent basis - nobody can answer that but yourself. If you want to pass the ball, dribble crazily, and make your teammates better then it is pure playmaker.Saints Pelicans Tigers CowboysComment

Re: Best PG Build for Pro-Am?
I made a 6'7" pure playmaking PG.
With his speed, acceleration, height, max wingspan and lateral quickness... he can play great D.
Plus, he hits 3s better than I thought he would.
That's not even mentioning the strongest points.... the speed with ball, dribbling, passing etc...Comment
