(I guess I meant to say does the CPU cheat on All-Star...)
Bought the game on release day as a reward for building the Clippers into NBA Champions on 2k11. Won that title on Pro, with very very slight tweaks, brought them back towards default a little bit each season, and decided to move up to All-Star for my attempt to repeat. Mostly had to mess around with shooting sliders but I felt I had it down when i started to lost interest for other games this summer.
So here I am on 2k13, which I really love compared to 2k11, but despite what I read about Pro being the most realistic I just feel like playing on All-Star since I "beat" Pro two iterations ago. In fact, I'd be happy to adjust sliders heavily to make it work.
"Hello, my name is Zeke and I'm addicted to sliders..."
"...HI ZEKE..."
You know the drill.
So anyways I started with mkharsh's set, and he always puts out respectable sliders IMO, but I'm a much more casual, weekend-only gamer now that I'm approaching 30. So I needed to change things... kind of a lot. I'm wondering what the consensus is on what needs to change the most.
I have slight bumps for USER shooting to give a +2 advantage in that area.
My favorite aspect of mkharsh's set is the 55/40 on the physical attributes, I have those at 52/40 and it works very well for me.
I simply could not get the CPU to turn the ball over until I dropped Handling and Hands to 32. You'd think they could barely handle, but it's actually realistic (no crazy spin dribbles into crowded paint).
The tweak that I'm "most ashamed of" (kidding, kidding) is OAWR 80/20 and DAWR 40/100. But honestly I feel like my guys are still idiots on defense (GET BACK ALREADY! YOU'RE JOGGING AND HE JUST PASSED YOU).
I have OREB at 32/52 and DREB at 44/52.
Call me crazy (if you haven't already, at least you read this whole post) but multiples of 4 finally "clicked" for me... after staring at the screen so long I noticed that's where the little black bars appear LOL
Your thoughts? Where are the edits most needed to bring the higher difficulty levels back to what we want to call "realism?"
