XBox 360 NBA 2K6....is this possible?

Hey, Because of the lack of info on NBA 2K6, and especially on the 360 version of the game, do you think/or is it possible that VC is just going to port the current gen. game to the next gen. just with better graphics and thats all?
Kind of how when the dreamcast version hit the Xbox. It was simply a port. Is that even possible or do they have to build the game from the ground up on the new consoles?

We have seen almost nothing (besides clips of only one player dunking). You would think we would get a pic/video like Easports has done. Im also concerned that it is being rushed out just to make a few bucks on 360 launch day.
Well, I hope this isnt the case and if anyone has any info i missed about the build/qualit of the 360 version...please update me

I don't think that they had the dev kits for the next gen xbox early enough to create a new game from the beginning, it would be a stupid idea for the company also...to create 2 seperate games we can all wait for 2k7

But, if everyone got the kits at the same time, how can easports show their next gen game. (Or was that just a look of what it will look like)?
Im sure they got dev kits at the same time? Sme with madden, madden looks nice for 360 so far.

Its no different then us not seeing madden 06 on 360 yet except for the pre rendered commericial they keep showing

There will be a NBA 2k6 for XBOX 360 just like there will be a College Hoops 2k6 for XBOX 360.

I know this because there was a preview of CHOOPS 2k6 for 360 at teamxbox.com which highlighted several new features unique to the 360 such as individual fingers moving, team tendencies, new crowd atmosphere etc.

If there is a College Hoops 2k6 for 360 there will be NBA 2k6 as well.

I'm pretty sure they had their alpha kits for a while which they could build up from right? Then with those alpha kits, they could add more to the betas when they got them. I'm sure that the game will have similar things in it like the current but it probably might be a whole different game altogether. Nobody actually knows until we see it though....

If your saying 2k6 for 360 will be the same as the xbox version that is garbage. The graphics will be improved and there will be some other changes as well.

EA and VC have been working on their next gen games for over a year now. just becuase they just now have the beta kits, doesnt mean they havent been coding. they have been coding on computers, just like every other game is made. you dont think they just sit there on their 360s writing code do you?

the reason we havent seen any pics from next gen: both companies have to sell games. with the xbox titles coming out before their 360 counterparts, why would the companies release loads and loads of screens and vids to the consumer, giving the consumer a reason NOT to buy the xbox title. We'll get plenty of screens and vids before launch day, but be patient- both companies are still trying to sell xbox titles.
