    Nets Association

I am currently 5-1, with my only loss to the Suns, details below.

    Game 1: at Washington
Season opener at the Verizon Center. The Nets trail early, but quickly get it back. I am down 2 at the half, 40-38, and outscore them 57-25 in the second half to win by 30. Final score: 95-65.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Vince Carter- 20 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
    Game 2: Golden State
Home opener at the Izod Center. Both teams trading leads throughout the game, manage to win by blocking Jamal Crawford's shot at the buzzer.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Vince Carter- 25 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal.
    Game 3: Phoenix
Up 10 after the first on a Devin Harris 3pt buzzer beater. Then I am down 20 mid-way through the third. With 7 minutes left in the fourth (9 minute quarters) I am still down by 20, 91-71. At that point, I go on a 30-9 run, 21 by Devin Harris. 37 seconds left Brook Lopez and 1 on Amar'e Stoudemire, he fouls out. 100-99 Suns. Great defense forces Shaq to shoot a three, no joke, air ball, shot clock violation. 7 seconds left, Carter hits a miraculous lay-up, I am up 101-100, ending the 30-9 run. Timeout Suns. I change my defensive pressure and help defence up all the way. Hill inbounds to Nash, beats Harris to the hole, wide open until help came, but too late. Nash hits the tough, contested lay-up that trickles down with 0.4 seconds left. Timeout Nets. Time for Derek Fisher, right? No. Attempted inbound alley-oop to Carter, the pass wasn't lobed enough, Carter catches it under the rim and time expires.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Steve Nash- 22 points, 2 rebounds, 9 assists, and 1 steal.
    Game 4: Detroit
Boy, Allen Iverson plays like a douchebag in this game, but I handle the Pistons as my bench plays the entire second half. Nets win easy, 93-74.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Keyon Dooling- 16 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.
    Game 5: at Indiana
Same story as Detroit, win easy. 107-85.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Vince Carter- 32 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal.
    Game 6: at Miami
I had a 14 point lead mid-way through the third, but Miami comes back and takes the lead by one early in the fourth, 77-76. Yi Jianlian hits the 20-foot jumper to retained the lead, and after that I never gave it up. Jamario Moon forces a three with little time remaining and Vince grabs the bound and dribbles up the court as time expires. Nets win, 87-83

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Yi Jianlian- 21 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have CPU trades turned off, and I am open up to trading the following players: G/F Maurice Ager (hasn't played yet) and F/G Trenton Hassell (hasn't played yet). Am hoping to get a Gerald Green caliber player at the deadline of in the off-season.

I am really liking this team, with Harris and Carter scoring and getting to the line at will. Yi is a nice third scoring option, averaging 14PPG along with 10RPG and a couple of blocks too. Lopez is getting about 8 and 8 for me. Simmons the last of the starters is getting about 5PPG, still havn't gotten his shot down, any tips? I struggle with the shots that have hitches, i.e. Simmons or Slingshot.

Off the bench I like Hayes and Najera, both role players, and Dooling as a Sixth Man. Dooling is pretty much my team's hustle player, he can score, pass, rebound, get out on the break, play D, steal the ball, and is getting about 1.5BPG. They both have easy shots to get down, Hayes and Najera, Hayes I changes to Quick Launch. And for the prospects I like CDR playing the 1-2-3, he has greating drving ability and an extremely quick release. Anderson also had a quick release, I like him on the Pick n' Pop. Sean Williams gets be the O and D boards and put back dunks. Josh Boone mainly gets the garbage minutes.

I am developing the prospects, Lopez, CDR, Anderson, and Williams.

I am currently last in 3pt%, below 25%, I may bump up the sliders a bit, currently at 43.

Any suggestions, comments, concerns are welcome.

          Re: Nets Association

          Game 7: Indiana
Indiana was looking to steal one on the road as I did at Indiana. They got out to a quick 10-4 start but trailed 30-22 at the end of one. The second quarter was back and forth, I would take a 10 point lead and they would bring it back to four. They eventually took the lead, 42-41 on a 10-0 run, but Sean Williams converts the lay-up to put the Nets up 49-47 three seconds before halftime. The second half was a different story, the Nets outscore the Pacers, 24-10 in the third and held Granger in check, 22 points in the first half, 0 in the third. I played my bench the second half of the fourth as it was a low scoring quarter at 13-13. Remember when the Wizards scored 25 in the second half against me? Well, Indiana broke that with 23 through the final 2 periods. The Pacers made a late rally, and cut it to ten while my back-ups were in, but Hayes hits two 3's within 30 seconds to seal the deal, 86-70.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game
          : Devin Harris- 18 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 block, and 4 steals.

I am now 6-1 a top the East. The Knicks are 5-2. Surprisingly, the Celtics, Cavaliers, and Magic all got off to bad starts, but I believe they are all around .500 now. Rajon Rondo went down in the second game and if out for 2-4 weeks for the C's.

Up next: A home and home set against the Hawks.
          ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone is happy, which is a good sign. Team chemistry is at like 60%+ and player morale is good. The lowest morale is Devin Harris and it is at 74.

                Game 8: Atlanta
Well this game went back and forth. Despite a dismal 11 for 53 (21%) combined 3 point performance, the Nets were able to manage a W. Both teams trading the lead in the first half, until the Nets went on a 13-0 to take a 44-38 lead, and leading 49-42 at the half. Vince Carter came out red hot in the second half, scoring 17 of his 28 in the period. In the forth it looked the New Jersey would run away with it, building a 17 point lead late in the forth. At this time, Lawrence Frank thought it would be good to rest his starters. Bringing in the bench, Atlanta made a minor run, but nothing enough to cause worry to the Nets fans. Nets win 100-87.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Devin Harris- 23 points, 4 rebounds, 12 assists, 1 block, and 4 steals.

                  Game 9: at Atlanta
In the second set of the home and home against the Hawks, Atlanta took an early 17-11 lead, but a 10-0 New Jersey and the Nets never looked back. Nets win this one, 100-79.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Brook Lopez- 14 points, 12 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 blocks and 1 steal.

Nice Association. I have a Nets assoc. myself and currently 11-3 with the Lakers up next. I traded Bobby Simmons for Q-Rich because Simmons was kinda complaining bout minutes while Q barely plays with the Knicks.

I'm following by the way. Keep up the stella play.

I don't know if you know this or not, but there is part of the forum for all those Association/Franchise/Dynasty.

You can probably get more people to track you there, heres the link http://www.operationsports.com/forums/dynasty-hq/

A mod would eventually move it there anyways.

                        Game 10: Cleveland
Is there such thing as a quiet 20-22-14 night? Well if there was LeBron James had one. This game went back and forth. New Jersey would have a 10 point lead and the Cavs would come roaring back. They took their first lead mid-third as there was no lead larger then 6 at that point. Only three Nets stepped it up with Harris having 34, Yi tying a career-high with 29, and Carter pitching in 23. 10 seconds left, Cavs down 1, and LeBron drives and scores an And 1 takes a 2 point lead. Harris, with 22 in the fourth, makes two clutch free throws with 2.3 seconds left to tie it up. Time-out Cleveland, but Delonte West misses the game-winning three as time expires. New Jersey would then take care of business in the extra period, 129-124.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Devin Harris- 34 points, 4 rebounds, 11 assists, 1 block, and 3 steals.

                        New Jersey, 8-1.

                          Re: Nets Association

                          Game 11: at Toronto
If I were to tell you that a team that shoots 24.2% from 3 in the first 10 game, and then shoots lights out for the 11th, would you believe me? That would be the case here. The Nets come in shooting 24% from downtown and end the game 14-29 from 3. In the first half the Nets missed there first 9 3PT attempts and found themselves in a 10 point hole. Making there next 14-20 3's the Nets would come back. After trailing 61-43 with 5 minutes left in the third, New Jersey would cut it to 10 with 30 seconds left in the period. But two quick 3's and a pair of free throws, Toronto brings it up to 16 after 3. Devin Harris showed another strong 4th quarter performance, scoring 19 of his 26 in the final period. Bobby Simmons had his best game as a Net by far, scoring a season-high 18 with 4 from long range. Outscoring the Raptors 38-17 in the fourth and connecting on 11-17 from downtown in the half, New Jersey came back and won its tenth game on the year and 8th in a row, 104-99.

Jordan Brand Player of the Game: Vince Carter- 28 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal.

The Nets have to go on a gruel some West Coast swing facing the Clippers, Lakers, Kings, Jazz, and lastly the rematch against the Suns.
