I play people online and they always destroy me with their 3s. I dont know how to defend. So far Im only playing man to man D.

Trust me, you definitely don't want to play a zone defense. Stay in man to man. Zone defense doesn't rotate fast enough in the game so guys will always get open 3s. You gotta make sure you contest all their shots. Take a look at some of the tutorial vids on shot blocking.

well zones will work if u can play them right i can play the 3-2 and 1-3-1 and both of them stop 3 points shooting teams really well but you have 2 know what ur doing the a.i isn't gonna do the work for you

The zone defenses in this game is terrible. They hurt more than they help.

In 2K9, it feels as if NBA players somehow forgot everything they learned in College the moment they got drafted.

I played online for the 1st time yesterday and the game sucks online!

All the foul animations that keep you from running past your defender at half court. People mainly use the superstar to score and the game won't allow you to double team any players... STUPID.... Unrealistic 2K!

Kobe, LeBron, D-Wade, or etc... can shoot the ball 99 times in the 1st half and the defenders or coaches defensive gameplan stays the same...

I played man to man the entire game and the ball handlers defender constantly would switch at half court and leave him open.

It is a fastbreak game with 50% 3's, 50% layups & dunks, & 10% mids (yeah that's how it adds up).

The worst online gameplay IMO...
