Question about NBA 2k10 on PC: Online Functionality

At this point we know from the official fact sheet that the PC version of 2K10 will have online play, living rosters, NBA Today, and other online amenities that the 360 & PS3 versions have. What I (and I assume other prospective buyers of the PC version) want to know is how is this being handled? More to the point, is 2K10 going to be a Games For Windows Live title or will online play be done through Steam. If it is a GFW title, then will 2K set it up for cross platform play between PC & 360 gamers?

It seems that Nba2k10 for pc won't have GFWL.The pc cover doesn't have the Game For Windows Live sign and i think it's too late for that type of online functionality now unless the game is delayed for late October release for the pc.I guess it will not have Steam also and online will be handled by 2k servers exclusively for pc users.I'm sure though that there's no way for cross platform online play between 360&PC.

Don't know if there is any Online Functionality at all, but who says the PC version will be delayed until late October?

On the official NBA 2K10 website and on ebgames.com website it says it's due out on Oct 6 like the PS3/360 version and it's priced at $19.99 again, so I doubt there is any online functionality...

It's frustrating that they talk about all the details about the game, but the PC version is excluded from those talks. They need to specifically say "the PC version...". Yet nothing is ever said about the PC version.

its confirmed that its online...everything the console has will be on the PC version...how its implemented is yet to be determined though...

i just like the fact that i will have rosters up to date ...i know there are roster makers on the PC already but they take awhile to finish now that living rosters is available this game is going to keep me busy lol

im gonna try my hand at modding this time around...i used to mod tanks for a WWII strategy game so this should be fun

its confirmed that its online...everything the console has will be on the PC version...how its implemented is yet to be determined though...

It's $24.99 in Best Buy in Canada, but on the Futureshop.ca website it says it's $60 like the 360/PS3 prices.

Ya i'm a PC gamer only and i found it weird that Future Shop is selling it for $69.99 when Best Buy is selling it for 25 bucks lol. Maybe they got confused and will change the price when it's closer to the release date for the PC version.

This would be awesome if it's true. Last time I played a basketball game online it was NBA Live 2006 in a online league and the league used to be AWESOME.

I only have one question, will it be MAC compatible?...

It's not Mac compatible.Online for pc has been confirmed weeks ago by Ron.It's easier for 2k to host pc leagues and online functionality in general on specific 2k servers imo.As a pc only user and gamer i don't want cross platform online.
