100% Over It

It is 5 am where I am and I needed basketball. After I woke up when my GF left for work at 3 am, I decided getting a basketball fix in was more important than sleep, I put in NBA2k10.

After this late night session, I am 100% OVER this game. It is honestly so bad. The gameplay is horrible, stats are horrendous, animations glitch, players pull, suck, and stick. I won't get into details because everyone has heard them a million times. People online play like complete idiots making it absolutely zero fun.

Every game I play either myself or the cpu is blatantly getting cheated out of the win. Lebron will miss every shot in the 4th qtr, most of them wide open 3s. Countless back court violations because of stuck animations. One player will camp out in the lane for 10 seconds with no call, then player will get stuck doing up and under moves and get called. People get fouled with no contact. Intentional fouls don't work. Nobody wins fair. Both teams trade shots until one team gets cheated out of the game. Every time. Paul Pierce misses wide open 3s and Ron Artest makes fadeaway, double teamed 20 footers on the baseline from BEHIND the hoop, causing him to shoot over the backboard...3 TIMES IN A QUARTER.

I am going to sleep. Waking up at 10am. Going to Gamestop. Trading in NBA2k10. Buying NBA Live. Playing that until October. Trading that in and getting Elite 11.

Goodbye forever 2k.

This game has just been so frustration for so long, coming on here to rant is the only way I can feel justified.

A little dramatic don't you think? Like NBA Live doesn't have any flaws. I sold 2k in November and have been playing Live daily since then until I re-picked up 2k10 a week ago. Honestly, both games have their pros and cons. You think your frustrated by the Backcourt violations with 2k? Just wait until you see the other team inbound or set a play and they recieving player hops back across the line in NBA Live. If you want 100% realism, get off your *** and go play some ball outside lol.

(I've been more a Live fan in the past, but this year I may just have to get both games.)

To me, it seems like people who don't like 2K10 have never played a basketball game before in their life. It just feels so selfish to just blurt out "this game sucks, it's hjorrible, gameplay is horrible", like you haven't seen the evolution of basketball games at all.

I have played every Live since 1995 and swtiched to 2K for 2K10. Having actually played all the different incarnations of basketball games through the year, with all the gameplay glitches and bugs they had, I can honestly say that 2K10 is the best basketball game produced to date.

Every game is going to have things that you don't like, even if you've played other games before, but the genre certainly has evolved for the better.

I have played every basketball game since NBA Live 95. I have played 2k sports since they were through ESPN on ps2. So no, that is not the case.

Either way you guys are right. For everything 5 things I don't like about 2k, live will have 5 different problems. Its all pointless until the 11 games come out. I just have to suck it up and quit whining until then. And the rosters are too good to let go.

And I do play basketball. I am on rec teams that play every Sunday and Friday. Sometimes however, like tonight, I need a basketball fix at 5 am.

I need sleep.
