Patent leather and rubber soles intertwined and designed to grip the grain of the hardwood. Oh, how sweet it is. Basketball and kicks have had quite the marriage over the years. The love between shoes and ball began with Chuck Taylors long before there ever was a number 23 soaring above the league. Companies like Converse had their time, Adidas had some run and MJ created the era that defined the basketball shoe. In 2010, the new school of kicks deliver a hint of the vintage with a touch of style to meet the needs of your favorite NBA stars.
Yea def. some retro jordan's like the 11's, 12's, 13's, 8's, 5's, and the his first pair...those are my fav. pair of jordans. Would have been cool to see shaq in his shoes while he was in his prime lol.
EVERY Jordan 1-23 plus up-to-date nikes, reebok, adidas, etc.
Kobe is the cover athlete & they didn't even have is Zoom V's which he's been wearing ALL season! Very disappointing 2k! Also, the shoes need to be better graphically, they don't look all that real like in NBA Live10 (which has a ton more shoes also).
I thoroughly agree with the have every Jordan 1-23 comment. I would also like to see them bring back the classic with a code. By classics, I mean: The foamposites, the Flightposites, the CB4's, The old Pippens with the AIR on the sides, The yellow Adidas Kobes.
Nice article. I really liked 2k's approach with the user selectable color palette (although hopefully someone takes a look at their "red") but I felt Live had a better selection of shoes overall.
Hopefully they can expand on this area for 2k11 AND have the Insider utilize the sneakers more. The basic all white sneakers look dreadful and need some work. They look like "special" shoes...
Thats the one thing the other game has always had better. I felt as though they cared more about jersey and sneakers then the actually game. But thats just me.
2K uses the same generic shoe template for all it's shoes. It funny how he's talking about Kobe's low cut shoe when it's the same cut as every other shoe in the game.
They also can't ever seem to get the colorway patterns correct.
